View MOUGHI's food & exercise for this day

I've been meditating today on what it means to be committed and to take responsibility for my actions concerning my weight gain. Oh I have good excuses for why I gained my weight in the first place: predisone, thyroid disease, insulin, depression, chronic pain, a daughter who went wild on me for a while before coming to her senses, these are only a few of life's problems I have ate myself through. Certainly, some of these conditions are legitimate weight attractors, but there was a point where I got out of control as I reached for that third and fourth Ding Dong. Ding Dongs, chips, cold drinks, or just plain putting too much on your plate I'm sure we all have our weakness that we have had to face up to and fess up to. That is the place my mind had to go to before I could really be at peace with my diet and life changing habits. In order to have that commitment, I had to face my demons and admit that I could control what and how much I eat no matter the obstacle. I will always have obstacles in my life be there situations or life's ups and downs. This is why I must have commitment to a new way of life. Well, this is what I've been thinking about today. Sorry if it has gotten some of you down or felt like I was being preachy, but once in a while I have to reflect upon what makes me me, and how come I ended up the way I have.
On a lighter note, yesterday hubby and I went to the car show an enjoyed the new cars immensely. As we stood before the new Volvo V50 we were awed by it's sharp design. We turn and at the same time looked at each other and said, " NOS IT!" Now that's being married to a car man for 32 years!( Nos is that funny little air tank you can put into a car to make it go faster. My husband has one in his car. You can tell what he likes to do in his spare time. Anyway, I took my snack with me so I would have something on the way home as well as some drinks for the car ride home. Hubby was happy I did so. He likes this new planning that I am doing now for the meals and snacks.
Everyone have a good day.
