It's Friday and that means it's Scifi Friday. In the past the dogs and I would cuddle up in the guest bedroom and watch tv with some munchies as we watch our favorite show we eagerly awaited all week long. Losing weight on an insulin pump

Well, I knew I would eventually have this problem, but I think I need to get my pump rates adjusted. I stared the pump in June and since then lost 34 pounds. The past several weeks I have been having constant problems with low blood sugars and basal rates that are out of proportion to my boluses. I mention all this because I think this is slowing down my weight loss. I don't know if anyone else has experience in this area. I've been told I need to give my diabetic rep

buying the wedding dresss

Well yesterday I took my daughter out to look for wedding dresses and we struck gold our first time out. She found something she liked within our budget! It was late into the afternoon before we found ourselves able to break for lunch, and not only was I starved, but, my blood sugar had gotten terribly

keeping on track

Today I actually did it.It's hard to stay on coarse when you're a little hungry, brain hungry that is. My body is willing, but my brain is not. I did enjoy cooking tonight. It's been a while since I have. My husband has done all the cooking since my back and shoulders went out on me five years ago. Tonight I made a low fat blacken Tilapia,noodles, and low fat green beans, with fresh fruit for desert.(In case anyone wants to know I made my own blackening seasoning out of Penzey's Northwoods seas...

oh but a set back

This new year has started out rough. I actually gained two pounds. Its the first weight gain I've had since starting my diet a year ago. It's my fault. Depression set in and granola was there along with that box of sugar free candy my brother sent me for Christmas. (Which by the way I was mad at him for sending me THREE boxes of) I gave away the rest but did not resist the one. Ok, I think I learned my lesson.
