View MOUGHI's food & exercise for this day
Superbowl Sunday is here and I decided to watch some of the pre-game hurrah. My luck just as I turned it on the topic that came on was not football, but FOOD! HA HA HA ! Did you know that the day after the big game anti acids sales go up 20%! Learned something I didn't know. Well, they won't be going up in my house because the pizza man is not visiting me. Any luck this muncher will make it through what normally would have been a munchie day, even the weather here is kinda of drab began me to munch. I shall not munch has been add to the big 10 in my household.( Seriously, I do ask the Lord for strength in such matters I do not mean to take such matters flippantly. )
I know I have talked a lot about my insulin issues and weight loss. I know that it seems that it is all I have talk about recently. I can't wait for the issue to be resolved too. To put things in perspective though, one year ago before I started the pump I was using 112 units of Lantus and about 49 units of humalog, total units per day = 161 units. I went on my diet and that number went down to 98 units. Then I was put on the pump and my total went down to 70 units with Lantus going bye bye. Now, having lost 60 pounds and managing to stay on my diet I am down to about 34 units of insulin a day and the doctor wants to cut me down more. This is all happening within an eight month time period. Now you know why it has become a trial to readjust.Does this this mean this type 2 can someday get off insulin? Don't know, but possible if I lose all my weight and adhere to the diet for life, only time will tell. There's my story so be patient with me as I adjust. Now since I'm not to computer savvy, but I have learned hoe to put those smiley things on the blog I have been dying to do this, so I say have a nice day and may the Giants make it a good game,

Night time...I made it through the superbowl ! Ate the dinner I planned and did not over eat. Did not snack on any extra food. Called the game and should have made that bet with my brother. Who knew I pegged the game perfectly when I said the Giants would win by 3 in the last seconds. Gee I'm good. Mr. know it all my brother can kiss my, I better be polite. Did anyone notice the commercials? There really weren't that many food commercials this year. Most of the food commercials were for drinks. My favorite was the Fed Ex commercial with the pigeons. The main thing I am thankful for is that my planning went well and I was well satisfied without eating a lot of junk.

My cat, Mickey, did well during the surgery. I might be able to bring him home tonight! Thanks for telling me about your dog, Lory. It is nice to know that things can turn out well. I have a 15 year old dog. He is 1/2 German Shephard and so old that he is pitiful, but he still loves to go for a walk!

Hi Lory! What a nail biter of a game. I am a New England fan by birth, but I couldn't help but love watching little Manning win the game. I wish I did as well as you with the food!! But, today's a new day!

Here is something that will make you laugh, my boss asked me what team I was hoping would win and I said, "Um who's playing." I thought he was gonna drop dead right there in front of me for asking that question. Then I said, "Oh thats right, its the Green Peace or Green Giant folks right?"...if he was gonna drop dead, I thought might as well make sure I made it worth his while. Joyfully, he's still alive and well.
