Tuesday, Feb 5 2008 - Do Not Grow Weary
View MOUGHI's food & exercise for this day
Sometimes I wish I didn't have to put down the food I was eating, put down my blood sugar readings, or take the 25 tablets of medicine I must endure on a daily basis. I wish I could pretend all my health conditions would just disappear so I could not have a care in the world. I envy those of you who only have to keep up with the food you eat each day and the exercise calories you can deduct from them. I have learned though envy doesn't make one happy only sad. Through it all I learned not to become weary but to keep om keeping on even when you are tired, put down the blood sugars and food you ate for someday it is going to help. Sure enough that motto is beginning to pay off. I once didn't do this and couldn't lose weight nor keep my sugars. It seemed if I had to put it down on paper, I became aware of it and paid attention to it. I've read other peoples blogs who also have medical conditions. They all know the weariness I speak of concerning always having to be on your toes when dealing with a medical condition or conditions. I can only say to them don't grow weary like our diets if you take life a day at a time, it is a little easier to deal with than when you try to overcome everything all at once. I'm learning from this diet I'm on.It is teaching me more about life than just about losing weight. Now who would have guessed that.

I'm adding onto my blog tonight. Hubby came home with the flu. He took a flu shot earlier in the year. The news is that this is a strain that was not covered in the shot given by everyone. Yesterday I just had a BBD day. I don't want the flu. It seems to be spreading around hubby's office. Hope everyone around the country will do better than we are here in Houston.

Isn't that always the way with the flu. I hope it passes quickly, and misses you! As you continue on this journey, I hope you are able to reap the benefits including less medications and medical issues...it is so much more than just the weight....

Hi Lory
I'm so appreciative of the honesty and sincerity and support that I've seen on these blogs. I feel like I've come into the midst of a very extraordinary group of people. Keep on loggin' and bloggin', we may not have the same problems but we have the same spirit of support.
