View MOUGHI's food & exercise for this day
Thanks to CYNTHIALS a fellow blogger I found the data on Minneola Tangelos. I am sharing that with everyone who might be interested. These bright orange fruits are a cross between oranges and grapefruits and are the sizes of a small womans fist. Here is the data:
Cals=70Cals... total from fat 10...fat=1g...chol=omg...potas=220...carb=13g...fib=2g...sugar=9g...pro =1g
These fruits come out in the months of Jan. and Feb. and cost about 99 cents each.

HUNGER...a dieters nightmare.I've been having problems at night with hunger. I'll have a perfect day, all my calories used up and hunger will hit me. I will try all the tricks, water, tea, walking around the house, a few core exercises, checking my blood sugar (sometimes it's low!) etc. That nagging hunger is there. It is too hard to sleep, so what do I do? Yep, I go eat something. It's only 100 calories just enough to ruin a good diet day and keep me at a maintenance level. Ugh, what is a girl to do. I plan on everything but the hunger bug. Like a lot of you, I am trying to eat more veggies through out the day and bulky salads. I understand the bulk food concept ( eat the lowest caloric food with the most bulk and fiber ). I'm trying that, but is not always feasible or easy on my innards. I have come to the conclusion that dieting is just plain torture at times. Sometimes I feel like I'm a masochist punishing my body when it is saying ... feed me...feed me. Seriously, the hunger bunny temps me beyond my ability to resist at times, and I don't.
Thankfully, when the hunger bunny has attacked, I've kept it down to under 200 cals per episode, but they add up in a week. This looks like my weakness in my diet, one I will have to solve.
Hubby is feeling better. So far I have avoided the flu.

Lory, you definitely were feeling a lot like me! Usually the tea does it for me, but I feel your pain. If you are truly hungry every night, and it is 100 calories here and there it does cross the line to maintenance vs. weight loss. You're smart to try and increase the fiber, but I wonder if your body is craving more protein? Make sure you hae some of that at each meal. And maybe trying "saving" some of those calories -- going hungry earlier in the day, and topping it off during those late night hunger sessions, I know for me, just having the calories left to have something makes me feel better. Eating healthy SHOULD NOT be torture. YOu shouldn't feel deprived all the time. Yooo Hooo for shooing the flu!

Haha, CK did that smiley thing several years ago to prevent folks from using certain language they felt was inapprop. So anytime you use the "S" word, in pops the smiley. Try this next time, Sh!take. I use frozen corn and plain old button mushrooms. If I have fresh like the spinach or mushrooms then I use them but I keep tons of frozen veggies on hand by simply buying fresh, blanching in hot water for a few minutes, draining, chopping and just tossing in the freezer. Your stirfry sounds devine...you have some skills in the kitchen for sure.

Hang in there. The hunger comes and goes as do all things. I know it's challenging. Fight through it. Water! Water! Water! Glad hubby is feeling better!
