Friday, Feb 8 2008 - One size, two sizes, three makes it a roll...
View MOUGHI's food & exercise for this day
This morning I got up and was putting on my clothes to only hear my husband who stills sounds pretty stuffed up say, " that's pretty pathetic." I turned around and said, " you talking to me?" He grinned and laughed and then began to point out to me that two of me could fit into my underwear. Well, I hadn't really thought about it. I had been buying new pants this week but it hadn't dawned on me that the undies needed attention as well. Duh!!!! So off I went to the store to do what I hated the most, shop for .... the... undies. The last time I shopped for these I had to go to the catalog an order because I was a " big woman". You know, one of those sizes, the kind whose only kept in the J.C. penny's catalog.I am now proud to say I can shop in the store because I have gone down THREE sizes.

While at the mall I was excited and started to go into the mall to go shopping. Then all of a sudden I got hungry. It was snack time and I left my snack in the car. I could smell the cookies, the pretzels, and see the Godiva chocolate store down the hallway. I knew if I went into the mall to go shopping I would be in trouble. So, I turned around and went back into Penny's, went to my car, got my snack, an ate it. Relieved, that I survived temptation, I decided to forgo shopping till another day when I could bring my husband who has an iron hand to help me in such matter.

When I got home the day was so pretty here in Texas I decided to take a walk outside with the dogs. ( note to self: walking with dogs does not always make good exercise since they like to stop and sniff butts, pee, poop, sit when I want to move, and in general smell the breeze and enjoy God's creation...ie.squirrels and cats). Well, that was my day. I still have to survive the munchie demon when I go watch my Friday night shows, but tonight I planned on a snack so I should be OK

. So long folks and have a good night.

Hi! I've happened upon your blog and I hope you don't mind me commenting. Congrats on all the weight loss that it even required new undies! And awesome job at knowing what you needed to do in order to eat well (get out of the mall and eat your snack in the car). I hope you have a great weekend!

The mall can be very tempting when you're hungry. You showed AMAZING will power. Doesn't it feel great when we can do that
Keep up the great work. I hope you're having a nice weekend.
PS. your post made me smile about my name wranglergrl (the name comes from the Jeep I drive...unfortunately I'm not a cowgirl)

CONGRATS Lory!!!! YOu went down three sizes!!!!!I used to hate to buy undies too until I found ones that I really like at Lane Bryant. They have sales once in a while where you can get five pairs for $25.I like them even better because I take the smallest size that they have(14-16).Their sizes run big because I take an 18-20 everywhere else. They have really cute ones with nice colors and designs. My husband really appreciated it too because I only ever wore the granny white undies. They even have bras to match and I was sooo excited that I had a matching bra and panty for the first time ever..
:teeth1:Thank you for the comment on my blog,I really appreciate your kindness. The problem has nothing to do with the type of foods that I am preparing here,I eat relatively healthy;I just eat too much of it! I need to get exercising more and eating less. I just need to find a balance so I am not eating tons and exercising for hours.I also wanted to say WOW!!! YOu were at the mall and went out to your car and got your snack, that took a lot of will-power.When I go to the mall(which is like once or twice a year),I get a bavarian prezel and a diet coke,I actually look forward to it. I hope your hubby told you how proud he was of you!!

What a triumph over the mall.

SOooo proud of you! Give yourself an EXTRA pat on the back from me. It's hard, but to make yourself go back to the car and eat your snack instead of "oh, it's just a little something" - ing.
*cheer*
You're definitely an inspiration!

Even the unmentionables need some attention now and then, what fun to go down three sizes!!! It was really good planning for you to bring a snack along sometimes I think I will only be gone an hour and then I am way longer and wish I had a snack. We are going out of town tomorrow so I am packing some good snacks for my purse. I spent a lot of time outside today with my pooch, the sun was shining and it was 40 degrees, heat wave!!

Good job surviving the temptation...I too survived the bar temptation tonight! I am home now and about to make a quick dinner...but I will definitely be packing snacks for next week to keep under the bar--good idea!

Ask your husband when the last time HE got new underwear! If he's anything like my husband they wear them until they are torn to shreds. I am so proud of you for going out to your car to get your snack! That is a huge hurdle overcome!

Yiiipppeeeee, I just love the undie stories I hear at CK. I think we all tend to do the buying clothes thing and forget the underwear. My boobs kept falling poking out under my underwire for months and it was driving me insane. Finally my husband suggested maybe I needed to buy some new bra's. I was shocked when my back and cup sizes had gone down. Makes ya feel good though. WTG on avoiding the food alley, talk about self destruction, no way you can walk down the alley on a hungry stomach and not want to eat up every thing in sight. I feel ya on the dog thing also, I can't walk with mine for just that reason. Besides, I like to Pod and it's hard for me to enjoy the music if I am tryng to focus on them. Great job on getting walk in anyway.
