View MOUGHI's food & exercise for this day

Yesterday was one of those days where I had to throw my food diary together meal by meal as I went along. I was calculating all day long in my head as I was eating trying to keep up with what I was doing. Whew! I am glad I don't have to do that often as I prefer to plan out my food day in advance and know where I am going the night before or that morning. That makes life a little less chaotic and I'm less likely to go over on calories too. I did go over on cals yesterday, but that was due to being hungry and having a low bg at the end of the day.
Today, I go from playing nurse maid to sick husband to nurse maid to a sick dog. This role is getting a bit tiring. I have some new diabetic food magazines with some new recipes to go through that I'm hoping to find something I can use in my diet.My diet needs a new lift because I'm getting bored with some of my food choices. I am now able to cook more since I can stand up more. I'm still having some trouble with my upper back muscles getting too tight on me, but if I cook early in the day, I can make a meal.
Now I need some help with the CK menu planner. Is there a way to put my custom meals in the "meals"part of the diary. I have tried to put them in the meal planner but they won't go there. I eat the same thing every morning and get tired of having to manually put it in every day.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I had to make some changes in my meal plan today when I had to go rescue some dogs that got loose in the neighborhood. One was a bully breed mix of some kind and the other was a German short hair pointer. I didn't want these dogs to go to the pound, so I took them to the Humane Society which is only a 20 minute drive from my house. I was starved and my blood sugar was getting low,so before I left to take them, I ended up needing a morning snack. This up set all my meal pre-planning of coarse since I haven't been shopping this week and I haven't had to go snacks on hand in the house for a while. As a diabetic I have been taught to always have car snacks ready to go for emergency to go travels, but I didn't have any today and had to settle for a 150 calorie yogurt which I didn't want to refit into my meal plan. Now things have gone down hill fast, but I collected my senses before things got away and think I can pull the day off if I don't have a bad night. I just came home from the excursion to the Humane Society and ate too big of a lunch and will have to lose my evening snack due to the 150 cal. morning snack. Ok, not anyone's problem but mine. Does anyone else have days like this? Yes, I could give up the soy in my decaf coffee, or the decaf all together, but it's a miserable rainy day here and I needed something warm to drink. I'll drink my rooibos latter. (can't use coffee creamer due to the 'whey' in it and corn syrup in it too, so I use unsweetened soy milk).
I am totally erked that I didn't catch that the Westminister dog show was playing on two different channels last night. I only set up to record on one thus missed the last two hours of the first night.:angry2:This is what I get for night scanning the tv guide better.
Have a good day and may the best dog win.

Hi Lory, thanks for your support! I have not been very strict with my weighing and measuring, I think that is why the scale is not moving. Also, my workouts have been off and on. I declared myself back on track today. :) My doggie is a rednosed pit. He is a happy, smart, loving, 3yr old puppy. I recently lost a pit that looked just like a staffordshire terrier, but I got her when she was 4 yrs old and nobody seemed to know her lineage. She died at age 15 from skin cancer. :(We miss her everyday. I will add you to my friends list! Have a great day!

Thanks for the tip, Lory! I went to the exercise forum and found the answers I was looking for about the HRM.

As for your question about entering meals manually, once you enter all the ingredients for the meal in, click on Actions, Save Meal. You can give the meal a name and then the next day, you should be able to go to Your Meals and click and drag that meal into the food diary. Voila, no more manual entering! Hope this helps! =D

Yep, CK will give you a green check as long as you are within 100 calories (+ or -) of your calorie goal each day. If you are under or over more than 100 calories either way you won't get it... click on your "today" page once you've logged in all your food for the day and you should see your green check! You can save your favorites into the custom foods diary, where it says "add custom food" then when you go to use it, look for "your foods" in the diary. Hope this helps!
