MOUGHI's CalorieKing blog

View MOUGHI's food & exercise for this day

I never have given it much thought until now the difference between spending time in the forums vs. the forums until I learned that Ck only gives you points for posting in the forums. It seems such a shame that blogging gets you no points. Maybe Ck wants to encourage more inter action amongst its members so they will get more involved.I get that, but I'll still be blogging as it is my favorite. It seems more personable. Besides, I still feel awkward in the forums. Oh, I'll try them out, but my verdict on them isn't out yet.
So far my trying out of resetting my calorie count is working. I reset my count to its lower calorie number so that if I go over I would only get into my maximum cal. intake for the day. I was set originally at the max. so if I went over I got into maintenance cals. Now I seem to be getting used to a lower regiment of calories as my mind also gets used to the numbers. What is helping me greatly is making sure that I eat plenty of veggies at lunch and dinner and protein at snacks. I also increased my protein at breakfast. I did all this without messing with any of my ratios. The big exchange was I had to choose between 2 or 3 fruits a day or an extra starch. I can have one or the other but not both. Well, not much time tonight, see you around.

I also think we should get points for blogs -- I find them way more fun that the forums!

I'm glad the new calorie count is working for you! It's also really great that you noticed the role of eating plenty of veggies at lunch and dinner and protein at snacks plays in helping you to meet this calorie target. I hope you have a great weekend, Lory!

:hi:I agree about the points. I do like blogs better for the same reason you do (they are more personable). Great job with resetting your calories.

Thanks for your positive comments in my blog. You are an inspiration with trying the new recipes, sticking with your plan, and especially figuring out your exchanges. I managed my "I don't care" attitude with a couple of mind games; I let myself have a D. Coke which I am trying to give up, which made me feel like a rebel and I allowed myself a package of 100 cal. cookies even though I wasn't hungry just pouting. Sometimes I feel like such a little kid when it comes to weight loss!!! =D

Have a great day! Yes, it stinks that we get no BLOG recognition or commenting recognition. :laugh5: Great job re-adjusting your cals!

I agree that blogs should get you "points" too. I think we interact a lot on blogs! Let me know if dropping your calories is working. I'm set at 1500 and CK suggested 1480 so I'm definitely in my low range now. I feel okay about that amount though--I don't feel like I'm hungry or deprived. I don't eat back the calories that I burn by exercising but I do still track my minutes. When the pop-up window appears to enter minutes for an exercise I check the Manual Calorie Entry box and count it as no calories. So it still shows my minutes, but doesn't subtract the calories.
