Wednesday, Apr 2 2008 - getting emotional pep talks
View MOUGHI's food & exercise for this day
I want to thank everyone for all those pep talks an encouragements you gave me. They have helped me greatly. Like Laura said, I stayed on my program even though my emotions were not into it and found that despite going into the red I lost some weight this week. My plan to set my calories low so is I went into the red I would be in the high end of my weight loss calories must have paid off. I must have never really gotten into maintenance calories on a lot of those days as I thought I did or I'm still at a weight were I can lose some weight because I'm eating at a deficit. Any way, I will take the weight loss and be glad I came out of this week smelling like a rose with all those reds.
I sent my youngest brother a updated picture of me. His words when he saw me, " Wow, you lost a massive amount of weight !" I just like the way that sounded. That too was added encouragement for me. He told me he expects that by the wedding I should look even skinner at the rate I am going. He went on and on about how proud he was of me... This is my little bro the retired doctor who was worried I wouldn't live very long because of all my health problems the last time he saw me. He was right I could barely huff and puff around Denver's thin air the last time I was up there. There was just too much of me for my little heart and lungs to pull this massive amount of weight around in that thin air. Won't he be surprised the next time I get up there to find out that I've been working out and can now keep up with him!
Speaking of working out, I've been cleared now to go back to the gym and to get my hand wet now. I made dinner last night, but hubby still cleaned up while I took care of dog. Dog duties are still quite tiring and time consuming. Three to four times a day I have to hand feed him and take care of his wounds. Then there is the medicating which is twice a day. He doesn't like that at all. We are going to re-evaluate his condition Friday with the vet. The vet wanted to see if he has improved by Friday. I think he has. So now it is a matter if the spot on his lip is cancer or another infection bump. That we may know more Friday too.
My yard is getting dug up by the Cable people today as they are putting in fiber optics in the neighborhood.

I have the cable box in my yard. Lucky me.#^%%% Today was suppose to be my quite day at home.%$%%*%*
I found another nutrition sight called "Nutrition Facts.com " It list all the nutritional data of a product including it's glycemic load, minerals, vitamins,etc.. I haven't looked at the sight in great detail but there might be a recipe break down there too.
See everyone latter. Oh, don't forget to look up " DietBlog.com" it's another good place for tips as well as dlife.com. Talk to everyone tommorow.

I hate when I can't find the nutritional info on something I'm eating. Keep having good eating days. You have hte power and this journey is yours! You own this!

Hi Lory!
So glad your week showed some weight loss. Good for you! You're going to look great at the wedding and you'll run around the mile high city! I used to live there. Worked downtown on 17th street. Such a pretty city. Also thanks for the Nutrition Facts.com tip! L-51

Oh! I can't wait to see my family at Christmas (or some time in the future) and have them say "You've lost a lot of weight!" Glad to hear your dog is doing better. I'm sure nursing him back to health has taken up a lot of your time and energy.
