Today I go to get the athletic shoes I order a few months ago. Hopefully they will fit. I have a very hard foot size to fit and because of that haven't had athletic shoes in over twenty years. I am excited that these new shoes might actually fit. If they do they will make walking a pleasure. Walking is painful for me now because my feet hurt after about 15 minutes. Feeling blue

I finally figured out that I'm feeling a little blue and have been these past couple of weeks. It hit me that all the signs are there. Lack of energy, craving sweets, wanting to stay in bed all day, moping around the house not wanting to get out, all the tell tell signs of the kind of depression I get into. Breaking old habits are hard to do but not impossible. I think the hardest habit I have had to over come is eating at night past dinner time often when I don't need any food. Call it stress eating, relaxing eating, pleasure eating, or what ever you want to call it, that was my MO. For over a year now I have sought to correct this habit by limiting myself to one bedtime snack at 8pm and no latter. Walking with little dog has almost become a pleasure. The two of us have taken it our nightly walks after dinner as therapy of sorts. Xena has seemed to calm down and has started to eat again since losing Gambit. I am getting used to just having one dog around.
