Today my FSIL came over and helped me learn a little about my new camera. We downloaded a photo package that is suppose to do all this neat stuff once I learn how to do everything:huh: Knowing me it will take me a long time to figure out everything. Thankfully he also gave me a tutorial that will explain it. I tried to put a new picture of me up, but it was too big. I shrunk the photo down but that did not change the actual size of the photo. Not being computer savvy, I will have to ask someone what this means before i can get this picture edited correctly. I decided to leave my picture blank until I put the new one up. FSIL was going to help me with the photo this week. So hold on it's cute.
Tonight I finally got a good pic of my friendly neighborhood alligator. I named him Rex. Very original. I decided after taking my evening blood sugar that it was a little too high. Now it was 7pm and I was already in my comphie clothes and thinking of taking a shower and relaxing for the night. Then I thought, I can take a bolus of insulin to get that sugar down or go for a walk. Two guess you all on what I did. Yep, I got dressed and took that walk and brought that blood sugar down the normal way.=D Now I am in my relaxed mode and ready for the evening with that alligator shot as my reward because I also took my camera on that walk.
Well, anyway as my FSIL was eating lunch with me he told me about the class he took in nutrition at the trainers conference for triathletes. He mentioned he noticed how triathletes are suppose to eat is slightly different than people who are diabetics and those trying to lose weight, but there are similarities. We have to keep tabs of everything we eat in more detail in order to lose weight or keep our blood sugar down. He was amazed at the dedication it takes to do that. ( I guess this was a compliment ). Then he said he wished his parents would do what me and my husband are doing. I certainly understood why he felt that way since I lost both of my parents early too. We talked some more about the different diets and how we help each other out by being on the same kind of food. I am grateful as I have spoken of this before, that they help me. Today he heard me say this big time.
I almost blew my diet today when I got up in the night and ate something. For some reason I was hungry. I haven't been eating at night for a long time now, especially in the wee hours. Last night I woke up with this gnawing hunger that I decided to satisfy. So, I put it in todays eating plan and fortunately everything came out all right. Well, so far. Hopefully, I will get through the night ok with out any problems.
Have a good weekend. Again, I'll try to catch up on more of you all's logs this week end. I am behind on visiting a lot of you. See you soon.
