View MOUGHI's food & exercise for this day
Yesterday when I went to the gym I did my first 25 minute walking mile on the treadmill. It may seem slow to some of you veterans, but to this short legged asthma prone back aching lady it was the highlight of my year. I had this beaming smile all across my face that must have been evident as I stopped exercising that afternoon. Some people must have thought I had gas. Inside there was this joy like no other. to experience something I had not in such a long time was like, well I just don't have the words. Maybe Cheryl 51 can give me some. I can't wait to go and try it again. I also used up a whopping 130 calories. Small fries compared to some of you all's romps, but the most I have ever done. It was nice because that night I got to eat some extra crackers since I was a little hungry after the extra exercise.
When hubby came home, he wasn't in the good mood I was in. Houston is known for flying debris coming from work trucks on the highway. His SHOW car got hit by a shovel from a cement truck that went flying from it down the road. Boy, was he upset. Of course it could have been worse. He got the number and the insurance company called today. People in Houston have been killed by this kind of thing, so I was just glad it was just a shovel and the shovel did not hit the window shield or get up into the door or windows. The thought is...something I won't dwell on.
I looked up those good old BMI numbers again to see when I turn into " just over weight and not obese. " Hey, in five more pounds I will become just a plain over weight American. Yea. I will get away from the " obese " tag. Can't wait ! Then at 135 I will hit the " within my normal range BMI range " which is my main target. That's 20 pounds away !!!!!!! I just have to keep looking at it this way to keep going. First to 150. Then I'm make the goal to 140. That will make it an even 100 pounds lost. See little goals turn to big ones, that's how I have played it all along. Looking back now, I guess that's how it's suppose to be played. I got to that part in Beck's book. Wow, I wish I had known that when I had started out. I found this stuff out as I went along. Still, I find plenty of stuff in her book helpful for these last pounds. Also, I have to keep the weight off, and there is plenty of stuff in her book that will help me there. I have tons of habits that needed conquering, plenty of stuff there to work on too.
Talk to everyone tomorrow.

Hello Lory,
I'm so PROUD of you! I can just see you beaming on the treadmill. What a delightful picture that creates in my mind. Isn't it great when your body works for you and not against you, and it's doing that because you've been taking care of it. Good job! Cheryl51

Awesome! It's all about you babe. That feeling is why we get hooked on excercise and the extra, guilt-free eating is a great benefit too. TG your husband was OK. That's scary. A car is just a car. I think everyone should occasionaly look back to realize how far they've come. You have come miles. As far as learning goes, I beleive everyone is right where they need to be at that given time. It's our inpatience that makes us miss the orginally lesson and have to repeat it. Have a magical day.
