View MOUGHI's food & exercise for this day

I got up yesterday and noticed my hot water was very hot, actually too hot. When hubby got home I asked him to go check the hot water heater but he said he was too tired. BIG MISTAKE !!! The next morning we woke up to water spewing from the HWheater in the attic, and it was coming out it's safety drain like it was suppose to. We thought we were going to be spared. Hubby didn't see anything in the attic to make him think there would be a problem while we got the heater replaced. I latter came into the computer room a few hours latter and saw we had a problem. There was water leaking from the ceiling, darn near the blessed computer. I am just so grateful I was running out the door and decided to check my e-mail first before leaving. Canceled doctor appointments, moved computers, and a few trash cans saved the day. It looks like the pan that was suppose to hold the water must have rusted through and leaked the water, or we have a broken pipe some where. I'm not sure about the sheet rock at this point, but it looks like it might be able to be saved, we will have someone come out and look at it next week and see. All this could have happened this weekend when we were gone, so I am very grateful it did not.
I didn't log today, but wrote down my food on paper. We got the computer up late tonight and I don't feel like putting in my food.:food. I may blow this week off. Gee, this comes from the person who advocates logging in her food religiously.
Oh, no hot water for baths tonight...Ha that's what you thought. I put on the old tea kettles that I had and that wonderful electric brewmaster and had hot water in no time. I then filled the bath tub with cool water and added some boiled water. Ah, these acing bones got to enjoy a hot steaming bath after all. And my husband was going to take a cold bath.:eyebrows::eyebrows::eyebrows: He just needs to think like a woman!
That's all for tonight. I'm going to unhook the computer now and move the computer again. I may be disconnected a few days while we get these repairs done. Then I will be gone for the weekend. So, you may not here form me till Sunday.
Oh, I almost forgot to tell everyone the good news with all this other stuff going on. I think I lost two pounds this week which means I can still lose weight. I will re-weigh my self tomorrow just to make sure. Also, my stomach has changed shape some and my shorts are fitting different. My belt no longer fits me either. I guess something was happening to my body after all when I wasn't losing weight all those weeks after all.
Oh, I did use the last line on the photo bucket code, and the picture never popped up only the text.

Yikes! You are lucky that you decided to do that email check! I'm glad it wasn't too bad. Now, go back and read your post. Focus on the part that says "I lost two pounds this week" and skip right over the part that says "I may blow this week off" -- you are too close to your goal to start blowing things off -- AND you've got a wedding to worry about. So keep that journal out!!!

OMG! your hot water heater disaster sounds terrible. Some of my clearest memories have been of housing disasters. I remember one morning when the water hose to the toilet burst. It flooded darn near everything! My husband and I were just cusing and cleaning and finally laughing ..in a sick way. And then there was the time in Seattle when we were in a remodel and our plastic sheet that was used in lieu of a roof burst. We where up there in the middle of the night sweeping the water off the floors and down the walls. I think we finally slept with umbrella's over the bed.

Anyway thanks for your comments on the blog. You are right, weight loss is harder when you have less to lose. Last time I went on a diet it took me 15 months to lose 10 pounds. But it worked and I kept it off for years. But the good news is that I have other ways of measuring success, like improved flexibility, coordination, strength and running time.

Best of luck with your house. :sad3:
