View MOUGHI's food & exercise for this day
ugh, my water heater won't be fixed till Monday due to the fact we didn't have enough decking around it for the workmen to work around it. No one told us we had to have full decking around it for the workmen to work on it or we would have filled in some of the gaps that were around the unit. My husband had filled in he attic when we first moved in since it was not floored when we moved in. He left a few gaps apparently.

Before we leave to go out of town, he will fill in those gaps so the men can come back and change out the unit. I will make sure and tell all my neighbors this in case they ever have to replace their water heaters. Well, they will in the next few years because our water is not the best. Tonight I will have another make shift bath and Xena will go to Austin stinking like a real dog.
My weight loss turns out to only be .5 pounds and not 2 pounds. I apparently dehydrated myself. I will take the half pound anyway since it breaks the plateau. This is just a short note since it's a holiday. Have a good one.

Hi, Lory, thanks for your comments on art on my blog. You understand, being into art like me. I didn't stick with being a fine arts major. I switched to graphic design, and was never too successful with that as a career, but I am grateful to have been able to complete college and take fine arts and art history classes. I like to think that no experience is ever a waste, and that sometimes you get a lot out of things you've experienced, even bad things, without realizing it until later on. Good for you on the weight loss. A half a pound is still a loss. You are an inspiration, and I enjoy reading your blog.

Hi Lory, I hope I can answer your question about gluten free products briefly. It's something I can go on and on about. Gluten free products are high in carbs because many of them have to use several different types of flours in order to replicate the properties of wheat flour. There really is nothing on earth like wheat flour, so they have to use potato flour, tapiocha starch, rice flours and such. So for that reason many products are not the best for healthy choices. I ate alot of gluten free substitutes the first year and gained weight. Now I really don't eat that many gluten free products. I have a GF English muffin or bagel about once a week. But I really usually just avoid those products. Oh, I do use pastas pretty often and we make GF pizza every other week or so. My son has Celiac also so I have alot of GF crackers, cookies, bread and stuff around for him. I hope this has helped and has answered your question. Good luck. It's looks like you've had great success in your weight loss.

Lory, I never really paid attention to a plateau. For me it wasn't about how fast the weight came off as long as it did. Having said that, if you're feeling stuck, try shaking things up a bit! Vary your calorie intake from day to day, and strictly monitor your portion sizes. Go back to basics! Sorry about the water heater
