View MOUGHI's food & exercise for this day
I have been up since 6 am and running ever since going here and there today. I even took in a walk with the dog after dinner. Today I had my first PT appointment where we are suppose to up grade my exercise and give me more difficult and a more intensive work out than the one they had me on before. Today was an evaluation which was blah in my book. I got to look at the 24 hour facilities and compare it to my LA Fitness facilities and I didn't see too much of a difference other than they carry different exercise equipment. 24also has some special machines that LA doesn't for therapy patients that my gym doesn't, plus they have drink machines and a Juice bar. I don't think it's worth the 20 minute extra drive or extra money to switch though unless that extra equipment becomes vital to my rehab. In the meantime, I am staying where I am because it's closer and within my budget for now.
My therapist did say I was over doing it and told me to go for 45 min on the treadmill instead of an hour since the last time I did an hour I had muscle problems that took me a week to recover from. She suggested I do two 20 minute sessions. One at the gym, the other walking the dog. Today, I walked the mall and the dog. Tomorrow will probably be all at the gym, and Thursday it will be at a hospital looking for my new gyn's office who decided to move to the Baylor College of Medicine. That means a truck down to the Medical Center which will be an all day trip to visit him and plenty of walking on Thursday. Boy, I hope he will be surprised when he sees me. He is the one that suggested I get a bypass operation last year and watch the movies Super Size Me since he is in it. Well, I did, and that's when I decided not to have surgery and to try dieting the old fashion way. Now look at me !I have lost 70 pounds since I last saw him. This is going to be fun.
Just a few weeks to the wedding and things are coming together. my son managed to get hold of my daughter's birth certificate for her. Whew ! We lost it and everyone thought the other person had it. Then we had the wrong one and needed to get the official one with that little state seal on it. The quickest way to get the certificate was for me to go to Austin of my son to go to downtown Dallas. Son went into Dallas on his day off and saved the day. His sister owes him big time. I'm a little ticked at my daughter for not making sure all of her paper work was together months ago since she knew she was getting married over a year ago !!!!!! She is my eternal procrastinator.
Food wise< I have been going through a very hungry state lately. It has been hard to stay within my calorie limit just because I have been incredibly hungry lately. I have tried cutting my cals from 1330 to 1268 which I think is the cause. I think my body is protesting. I don't know if I should stick it out and keep trying to stay at this level which I'm not being successful at, or go back to 1330 cals. I dropped down because of my plateau. I know to beak plateaus you often have to drop your caloric intake to make sure your decrease along with exercise equals around a 200 calorie difference than where you were before. I know with my increased exercise and the 68 calorie difference that would be about right. I just can't seem to get enough food right now to tell my brain it's happy and get my tummy to stop hurting. Any suggestions ? I may be going through a phase. I hope. It hasn't been this bad since I started out on my diet in the beginning.
Have a good night you all. From the wetlands in Texas.

IMO the reason we became overweight is because we didn't listen to our bodies, I think you should listen to it now, it is telling you it needs more energy. Sometimes when you go below calories too far your body reacts like it is in a famine state and holds onto any excess fat it has in case you don't eat again. Maybe if you feed it a little more it will think the famine is over and let the weight go. Have fun at your appt. with gyn, well, maybe not fun exactly, how about enjoy the moment when he realizes how much weight you have lost!
