Sunday, Aug 10 2008 - under 150 !!!!

View MOUGHI's food & exercise for this day

I am glad to report that I didn't gain any weight after all while on vacation. It has taken a week for my body to re- adjust and get back to its normal routine. I went right back on program when I got back including my PT exercising program and made sure I got plenty of rest. Rest seemed to be the key here too. Today I got up and my weight even was below 150 for the first time in 20 YEARS ! I guess I did something right while on vacation. Believe me, when I got back and thought that I had gained three pounds I wondered where i had gone wrong since I didn't think I had over eaten that much. I took my portable scale and measured everything I could, exercised, and avoided sweets. I only took a bite of cake when my fruit " disappeared " and I needed some sugar to raise my blood sugar. Well, apparently, my body did get unregulated while traveling and needed time to readjust to eating what its used to and hitting the bathroom on its time table. Thank goodness, I was somewhat knew this in the back of my mind that something like this could happen, but i didn't think it would be this extreme. A three pound difference could only mean that I was really, well, we won't talk about it here. Any way, I feel much better now and am glad to report that I actually lost weight this week and am now under 150 ! Tomorrow I will write about the wedding day and dinner.

First of all... congrats!!! That's a wonderful accomplishment and I hope you give yourself all the credit in the world for meeting such an important goal! *:)* *:)* *:)* *:)* Secondly, we were at the http://abbotsfordairshow.com/ and yes, the Thunderbirds were there, and the Grand Finale was Canadian Forces 481 Squadron Snowbirds - our 9-plane precision flying team flying CT-114 Tutor jets. The vintage warbirds included a B-25 and a P-51 Mustang and more. The highlight though, was riding the Snowbird flight simulator! Glad to hear you had a successful vacation Lory

:hi: Hi Lory! :hi: What my little grocery store calls calamari steaks are rectangular pieces about 5" by 3" and very thin--maybe 1/3" --so they cook really fast and are great for blackening in a cast iron skillet on the grill. Sorry to hear your grill died. The burners went out on ours and I really missed it until my husband got around to fixing them. I saw a beautiful Weber grill on Oprah a while back that I was dying over...but they retail for around $800!! We got ours free from someone's front yard because it was missing a propane tank so it's hard to go from free straight to $800!! Maybe a George Foreman indoor grill in the meantime?

WOW! Under 150! I don't actually think I've been under 150 as an adult so that will be a big celebration for me--when that day comes! You continue to be a source of inspiration, Lory! Love all the wedding pics. Your daughter is lovely!

Congratulations on the loss - under 150 -- woohooo!!!:clap::rock1::rock1::rock1::rock1::clap::clap: You did an awesome job while being away, and you will be my inspiration while I'm away in September. I'm planning a plein air painting trip to Block Island. I go every year. This year I'm going to plan to sticking to my eating plan. Like she says in the Beck book, the scale is just a number, a guide and there really are so many things that can effect it. Your family must be so proud of you. She's a beautiful girl, Lory, BTW
