Friday, Aug 15 2008 - Tax Free Weekend

View MOUGHI's food & exercise for this day

Tax Free Weekend is my husband's favorite weekend to go clothes shopping because all clothes are :Tax Free " here in Texas. Also, there are a lot of sales and discounts especially if you get up early. He will shop for a years worth of clothes this one weekend. As he was losing weigh and his pants were falling off, I would tell him to go get some new clothes. He said, but it's not tax free weekend. I can wait. I told him he would need to get something to hold him because he looked ridiculous in pants that sagged under his belly and were barely hanging on by his belt. He reluctantly bought some pants to hold him over till this weekend. Tomorrow he will go buy a wardrobe, but have my problem. How many pants to buy since he is losing weight. He is not losing as fast as me and can probably get by buying more pants since he seems to change sizes more slowly. I am down to just one more size change. So, I do plan on buying pants at this weight. It could be months before I hit my goal weight or get down one more size. I found out I am in a difficult hard to fit size now since I am no longer a " wide nor a petite ". I am in between now and short. Since I will have a belly due to lose skin, I will be between a 16- 18 . Right now I am a 18 short which is not made, but a regular 18 seems to fit now. I do not need wides though any more even though I can wear them. I did not know that until I went shopping this last week. I guess it depends on the cut of the pants, but I have skinny legs. Now, I am still a 1X in shirts because my shoulders and tummy are still too big for EXL. I would like to get into that size because I like the styles better. My greatest, yet most frustrating thrill is finding out I am a new pant size. I did find one style I like and will go look for the Dockers pants tomorrow as they seem to fit my body type. I won't need too many since down here I'm still wearing a lot of shorts.
Other than having to find pants, my biggest challenge this week will be having to take it easy. I had my steroid shot Thursday. I have to take it easy for a week to give the medicine a chance to work. I have gotten used to getting up and going to work out finally. I won't know what to do now in the morning when I wake up ! Yea, Nadine an Amy finally got to me. I finally got with it. My PT appointments were all in the morning and they helped get me going to. I also could her Amy and Nadine's voices in my ear...get up and go work out. So on my off days when my body would wake up at it's normal time, I would get up like on PT days and go to the gym. I think I am finally getting the hang of it. Only thing, I am suppose to do water work outs every other day. Now I have to get a new bathing suit because my old one is too big. Sp is my water jogging vest !So, I haven't been doing my water work outs like I am suppose to. I guess I better add a bathing suit to this weekend's shopping list.
That's all of my ramblings. Talk to you latter.

I love that you have become so accustomed to working out that you hear my voice in your head :laugh5: And you know, really. It is a hardship to have to go and buy clothes because all of your other ones are too big. I really do know ALL about it! I hope the steroid shot does its thing quickly!

:wave1: Have fun shopping...Tax Free is great...We do not ever have it city wide...but several stores have it several times a year....When my grand daughter was here from Oregon this summer paying sales tax was something she was not use to...They have no sales tax in Oregon...:)
