View MOUGHI's food & exercise for this day
Another day without electricity and waiting. We have been told they re repairing the easiest to the hardest to fix places first, the most important, the most populated, to the least first. I Live where there a lot of trees which might have effected the power lines thus making it a longer process to repair. I can only hope that my area is considered important enough to be put up there on the fix it this week list. In the mean time I am still at my daughter's house resting comfortably with a bad chest cold. Last night and this afternoon I finally got some sleep. I think my cold has had more to do with my lack of sleep than all that has gone on around me. Today I decided to just stay in since everyone was going to be out of the house and get this rest. I'm feeling better this afternoon.
I have decided once everything returns to normal, I will continue my diet and lose that last ten pounds. I know I have thought about it for a long while what I was going to do. Whether to continue or to be satisfied with the weight my body plateaued at. I never had the motivation to do it until now nor the peace. I think the reason I feel this way that I feel uncomfortable with the weight around my stomach area still and, I don't trust my eating habits yet. Right now is a good gauge for my eating habits under stress and I'm doing 50/50 for good and bad behavior tendencies. I see I need to keep working at my will to keep myself from food when boredom and emotional stress enters my life. Getting back on my diet should help me improve in these areas.
I got word today that my brother-in-laws house did not flood but is without power like us. The same for my niece's house in Lake Jackson. Unfortunately, the hospital my BIL's wife works at was damaged to the point it will be closed down for a good while. That means she will be on leave foe a while or will have to get a new job somewhere else. They had evacuated their patients before the storm thank goodness.
I'm not getting to eat my regular fruits and raw veggies and regular kind of snacks since I just can't run up to the store and get them right now. This probably the most frustrating part to me. The food I do have available to me is a little higher in calorie per vol. than I normally eat. It is also my pig out temptation food. So, you can see why I am having some problems. The gas situation is also frustrating here. You have to wait in a long line to get gas if you can find it. Right now my husband asked me not to go into my PT appointment in order to save gas so he can have the gas for work in case he needs it. OK, that means me stating here all day. Well, at least it's air conditioned and I have two dogs to sleep with. That's all the news from here. Talk to you tomorrow.

I'm so glad that you have a safe, air conditioned place to stay. I've been hearing awful stories on NPR about people with nothing, houses completely demolished and lots of livestock dead or wandering around aimlessly. I cry everytime I hear a news story about it.

It's so good to hear that you and your family are safe. The pictures of the storm were unbelievable. I understand the frustrations of no power. I lost mine for 12 days last year when the NW had a nasty wind storm. You're luck that you have a place to go. Take good care of that cold and congratulations on deciding to take on the last 10. You are an amazing inspiration.

I'm glad you're okay and hope that you can get some fruits and veggies soon. It's fortunate that you can stay at your daughter's home. I hope your cold goes away soon. Take care of yourself!

So frustrating, and makes us realize how we take power for granted! Sorry about your son...I am lucky in that our company is privately owned so I don't THINK layoffs will happen. It is a tough industry to be in right now. If my husband has surgery, he will wait to do it until his slow season (Jan-Mar) and he has a few guys that work for him, so there should be no loss of income. I am happy to hear you have decided to keep steady and lose the last 10 *they are the hardest! Biggest loser is FAMILIES -- either husband/wife couples or parent/child....should be fun!

You are right about serving healthy snacks, we are serving a big fresh fruit tray and low butter popcorn, so we thought the little servings of movie candy would be perfect, and they are for the other people!!! Glad you are hanging in there! It must be frustrating not being able to places and to have the food you are use to.
