Another day without electricity and waiting. We have been told they re repairing the easiest to the hardest to fix places first, the most important, the most populated, to the least first. I Live where there a lot of trees which might have effected the power lines thus making it a longer process to repair. I can only hope that my area is considered important enough to be put up there on the fix it this week list. I wish I had time to go and visit everyones blog and thank you all for your care and concern. I KNOW ALL OF US WHO HAVE HAD TO LIVE THROUGH ike feel our CK pals friendships now. I'm resting comfortable at my daughter's house with no immediate physical wants or needs except to get the juice turned back on where I live. If any of you have seen the outage maps of the area, I am in FT. BEND COUNTY which took a pretty good beating. We survived the hurricane without any damage to our house, well any major damage. A piece of fence got blown down and during the worst part of the storm the rain came in through part of the wall base boards in our kitchen. Other than that we are out of power and will be our of power for who knows how long. Al of Missouri City where I live lost it's power when the transformer feeding it was blown. Ike is barreling down the Gulf coast and heading my way and should make landfall sometime Saturday early morning, but we have been told to expect the outer pockets of rain and wind to start as early as late Friday evening. There are some CKers who live in His direct path. I live just outside of zone 3 by a mile or two 50 miles from the coast. Talk about emotional eating, this weekend should be a great test for me and my husband as we will be in a house with the rain and wing going around us like we have not experienced before and a dog who freaks out under " normal thunderstorms." Thankfully, I went to vet to get something for the dog's problems, but for my own anxieties, I have none. This is were for many food would be a great temptation.
