View MOUGHI's food & exercise for this day

I went into the store to buy some fruit and came across an apple called a grapple. It's an apple in infused with grape flavor. How they do it I don't know, but you can find out on the Food channel come Feb. on the show Unwrapped. The apple itself was a delight to bite into, and the smell is constantly in the kitchen as it sits on the counter. I guess there is a kid in my husband and I because we enjoyed these apples. They were a bit pricey going 4.29 for four. The nutritional info on a 5.5 oz grapple is 80 cal, 22 carbs, 5 grams of fiber, 16 grams of sugar. We found them at our local HEB store. They seem to come out in OCT. The web sight to get more info on them is : www.grapplefruits.com
I woke up achy this morning in my back and SI joint. This happens when cooler weather comes in. I've been told a lot of people have this happen to them who have arthritis and have had broken bones. My pain doctor told me his patients can tell him when the weather is going to change better than the weather man. I believe it ! So, I think I am just going to do some stretches today and an easy walk with the dog outside when the sun comes out and it gets warmer.
My hubby wants me to take advantage of the early voting so I won't have to stand in line long, so I am off to do that. ````````````:sad3::cross2::rolling1::teeth2::angry1:This is how I feel about this years campaign from both candidates :frog: !!!!!!!! I hate all the *^%(%)*)^)*^)*negative stuff !!!!!!! OK, that was me venting.... Enough said. I'm done.
I'm having a little trouble with feeling hungry since I have increased my workouts and am trying to get back on my diet. I know my body is trying to tell me something. I know about exercise calories, but I never get into more than 100-150 exercise calories and I was trying not to have to eat those back. Unfortunately, I have been very hungry at the days end or weeks end of these work outs. Any suggestions from those of you who have been working out longer than me ?
Gotta go vote, work out, and run errands, do wash...
Latter, I just got back from my walk. I managed a 2 mile walk with the dog. It was a little too much for her because of her bum knee, but she didn't want to stop ! The wind was blowing briskly and the sun was shinning down brightly to make it one of those cold/warm days where it was too warm to wear a jacket, but too cold not to. So, I wore my new vest coat which turned out to be perfect for such a walk. Xena wore her new sweater and got some smiles and waves from fellow travelers. We enjoyed being tired when we got home. After a soothing warm shower, I prepared turkey burgers an a bean sprouts/red peppers/snow peas/red onions/ stir fry to be prepared on the grill. We had salad and fruit to end the meal. Hubby clean up the dishes while Xena and I conked out in our chair. Tomorrow will be a day of rest from exercise as I am a little sore. Hope everyone has a good week.

Wow those apples sound so neat! I have never heard of them!! You should definitely get a pumpkin to roast...here's what I did: peeled and cubed the pumpkin. Peeled and quartered four shallots (like onion but smaller and less "oniony). Combined pumpkin, shallots, about 1/4 cup of fresh sage leaves, a little olive oil, and some salt and pepper. Spread on a cookie sheet and roast at 350 or so for about half an hour! You'll be able to tell when it's done--so good!! =D

I voted last Friday. It was about a half-hour wait for me, but I'm really glad that I did it and got it done! Like you, I'm really tired of all the negative stuff -- especially when some of it is just false or half-truths. I think it's good when truly inappropriate things are brought to our attention though. Like the $150,000 spent on Gov. Palin's wardrobe. If I had donated to the Republican Party I'd be furious about that expenditure! It's not only inappropriate, but illegal! Sorry...my little rant! About the exercising..and eating back the calories. If you are feeling hungry, maybe try and eat back half of them - and see what happens. :wave1:
