Today is my birthday and I can celebrate the fact that I have successfully exercised everyday this week for the first time in all the years I have dieted without much hang over nerve pain the following day! Now that is a good birthday present to myself. Yesterday was weight day at the gym. I hope to make that a two day a week event in the near future. I enjoyed walking outdoors last week, but it looks like this week the walking will go back to the treadmill as the weather here has turned cold and wet. As far as eating is concerned, I am still eating too much at night to lose weight...Still haven't gotten my mojo back, but am working on it.
This week I introduced three people to the CK sight and helped a lady in the grocery store pick out a healthy cereal. I Picked up a box of Natures Path Heritage Heirloom Whole Grains and Natures Path Optimum Slim High Fiber cereal. I wanted to try the Optimum cereal because of the protein content even though the calorie portion is over what I usually allow myself as well as the sugar grams. I think this cereal would be good for runners and athletes who can metabolize those extra sugar grams and calories, but after eating a bowl, I will have to stick to the Heirloom Whole Grains which has less sugar and less carbs. You can go to Natures Path for the specs on these cereals. What I do with cereals is eat them as a snack food and not a breakfast food. They make a perfect before workout snack with a lite sandwich meat or afternoon snack mixed in plain vanilla yogurt. I put about 4 oz. of yogurt to about 1/2 cup cereal for an afternoon snack and have a high fiber good protein snack with a lot of calcium. Cereal in the morning just doesn't last me through out the morning. I can't eat it for breakfast and have it last me to lunch, but I love cereal. So, I found a way to enjoy cereal.
Everyone have a good weekend.I will be going out to eat tonight with my daughter and son in law. I'm off to exercise so I can enjoy going out. Talk to you latter.
My food dairy is going CRAZY. I tried to enter a custom food and it went into " saving " screen and then just got stuck there. I haven't been able to un stick my food dairy all day now. I have rebooted my computer several times today but still have had no success getting back into my food dairy. I wrote CK which wrote back and told me it could take up to three business days before I could get a reply back from them. I have always had a sluggish food dairy and thought it was my computer, but now I am wondering . Anything likes this happen to any of you all?
Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you, happy birthday dear Iory -- Happy Birthday to YOU! I hope you have a fantastic day -- celebrating wonderful you and all your achievements. :rock1::clap:
Those cereals sound good! I like whole grain cereals. I get that Kashi hot cereal, which seems low in sugar. Happy Birthday, Lori! You have a lot to celebrate. And congratulations for breaking that plateau! You are one VERY determined woman! You sound like me in the store helping the woman with selecting cereal. My husband laughs, because every time he goes into a food store with me, someone asks me a question or starts a conversation with me. He tells me I'd have a great career in sales if I wanted one. (Which I don't!) I'm familiar with Nature's Path but not Heirloom Grains. Where do you get that?
