View MOUGHI's food & exercise for this day
Well, I started my diet over again. All the holiday foods are out of the house now and it's back to the usual healthy foods and "no choice foods". I did pick up a few pounds due to my binging relapsing and will have to work these pounds off. The good thing is that through all of my over eating I was getting in regular exercise so the damage could have been worse. Yes, Amy and Nadine, I recognize that that this is a lifetime battle for me. When I take a little step backwards or have a down day or week, it is important that I shake it off and get back to the program and take off any weight that I put on.
I was really encouraged this week end by my family's response to my weight loss and their words of encouragement. After dinner, I asked if any of them would like to take a walk since I needed to bring down my blood sugar. I ha four takers including my 84 year old mother in law ! We enjoyed the nippy weather . MOther in law went around the block before she gave up and then the rest of us did a mile. Also, for those who knew I was upset because my son wasn't going to make Thanksgiving, HE DID !!!!!! I was thrilled !
No one bought any sugar free deserts, so my temptation was great !!! I gave in and had some real bites of real deserts !

Yea, they were just bites as I mainly just ate fruit, but there was so much temptation. Then when my family spent the night, they bought chips with them to our house. My husband laughed as he told them to make sure they took the even bags of sin home with them !!!!! My nephew's son couldn't believe we don't let chips into our house or have "sugar" cereal in the house. What can I say. I did introduce these guys to sweet potato pancakes and MorningSide Sausage Patties. The kids were surprised that some nutritious could taste so good.

I also found for them the Jimmy Dean D-Lights Muffin Turkey Sausage egg white & cheese sandwiches. These have 260 calories and 7 grams of fat. They aren't too bad. So, I managed to feed them a healthy breakfast despite their cravings for junk food.
Goals for this week are very simple : get back on my diet and stay with the exercise. Second goal is to clean out one storage area of the house and put up Christmas stuff.
Have a good week.
