Wednesday, Dec 17 2008 - Preparing for tomorrow

View MOUGHI's food & exercise for this day

Just a short note about tomorrow. I am going to be out all day so I prepared a Turkey stew today which we had for dinner tonight and can have tomorrow as well. I also prepared some extra in order to freeze some for future meals in Jan. when I have my foot surgery. I am getting meals made starting now so I will have a month's supply in a few weeks so hubby won't have to work so hard when I have the surgery. I hope to have 8 or so different dishes done in a few weeks. I discovered Amy's frozen pizza no cheese roasted vegetable pizza can be doctored up to be quite a good pizza. It is 270 calories as is. I added regular cheese on one side and soy cheese on my side, grilled chicken, and olives to both sides and cooked it according to the directions which took 12 minutes. Half of the pizza was filling with the extras on with a side salad and cost under $10.00. So, we will use this as a quick meal during my recovery time too. Remember all of Amy's pizzas can be modified. She even has a gluten free dairy free one that isn't too bad.
By the way, my husband said the pizza tasted as good as one bought from a local pizzeria and had less was was pleased when we totaled up the calorie count on half the pizza. I think his meal came just under 400 calories and mine was less since I used soy cheese. I think mine was around 375.
I am going to the Museum of Natural Science tomorrow to see the BodyWorld exhibit. this should be interesting. Talk to you latter.
