MOUGHI's CalorieKing blog

View MOUGHI's food & exercise for this day

I made a recipe correction after PTP pointed out to me that Worcestershire sauce is not a vegetarian product. I substituted Aji-Mirin sweet cooking wine in it's place. You can look at yesterday's blog for the Sloopy Joe recipe if you missed it.
My biggest struggle is my brain, but I think that is where most of us have our battles. Thus that is why the Beck book was a good read for me. I am looking for more books like it to get me started on my New Year journey. If anyone has read a good book like the Beck book, let me know. I'm not looking for a diet, but some inspiration.
I started to write down and analyze my recipes. I need to make sure I make them the same way every time and that I know the exact calories count every time I make them. Thus, I needed to spend time on my home made recipes and put them down on paper and do this for some time.I tended to make my spaghetti sauce differently every time I made it. Well, the last time I made it, my husband said this was the one. So, I am putting down the recipe not only so I won't forget, but so I will have consistency in the calorie count. It will also be something someday to pass on to my daughter when she ask for my home made recipes that I have come up with over the years. I'll even have the nutritional break down if I measure out the food and break down the recipes.
Today's exercise will be at the gym. I'll let every know how it goes. Gotta get off to do all that I have to do today. Have a great one.

I love it that you have your own recipes that you can pass on to your daughter. That will be a treasure for her and anyone else who is lucky enough to receive them! I have a workbook that I went through a very long time ago, and still have - that was great. It's titled: Love Your Fat Away by Aliza Guggenheim. I have the first edition, and it was written in 1987. Wow...over twenty years ago! If you can still find it - it was a very good workbook. In fact, I think I'll go through it again once I get through the Beck workbook! Thanks for reminding me of it. :wave1:

Happy New Year! Have you read Fit From Within? I can't remember the author but it's a pretty quick and easy read, just to keep the inspiration up. Have a great day! =D
