View MOUGHI's food & exercise for this day

I had a great work out yesterday than blew it with a terrible binge at night. I biked for thirty minutes getting in ten miles which was the best I have ever done. The I did two miles on the treadmill at 3.2 speed, the best I have ever done. This was fantastic. So why did I blow it that night ? If I knew the answer to that question I probably would have been back on my diet by now effectively losing weight by now. Now since I have figured out I can exercise, I am going to have to dig deep within myself and realize I must resolve that person inside of me that doesn't want to change. Someday I am going to put all the parts of the diet thing together at the same time. The exercise, the consistency on staying within my calorie count for the day, planning my menu, a good mental attitude. When I finally do, look out world. In the mean time, I know I am still struggling with getting my act together.
Today I am house sitting at my daughter's house again. The final repairs are being done on their house from the Thanksgiving fiasco when my son's friend flooded the house. I am letting in the repair men in to do their thing. Lucky for me I get to play on her new Macbook that my son's friend bought to replace the one that got ruined in the flood. I wish I could get a lap top like this one. These things are nice!
Since I am here at my daughter's house what I was going to do at my house, I can not do. So, today I will get the opportunities to catch up on bogs. Yea. Off to catch up....

Interesting that you binged after doing exercise. Do you think subconsciously you felt like you deserved a treat after that? Good things to notice and think about on this journey!

It's just great you are doing so much exercise that you couldn't/didn't do before -- and it's like trying to lead an orchestra and getting all the parts to work together. Or maybe learning to juggle and keeping all the balls in the air. You will get it together because you are aware and keep on trying!!! Be patient with yourself -- you've done such a good job!

Lory!!! I was so excited to read that you were exercising!! I knew you had a hard time before because of your back WTG!! I am very proud of you girl!! YOu have done so well and have come so far. I am doing the happy dance for you. You post to me really hit home. It is so obvious but yet you do not think about it, you forget. You get stuck in this cycle and just keep doing the same things looking for different results. I do not have a food scale, which is probably the biggest problem for me. I am getting off of seconds permanently. I work second shift Monday but I have off Tuesday because I work Sunday. The rest of that week is first shift, yahoo! I think that will go a long way because I used to walk every morning as soon as I got up. I can start doing that again. The hospital where I work is building a gym for us off our parking garage. We have a sky bridge so we can just walk right over into the hospital and it ill be off of there. I am anxious to get started there because it is free to all employees. However we have MANY people and the gym they are building will be small and will not ave enough equipment. This means waiting to use machines, yucko.

:wave1: I wish you would not put yourself down...I think you have done and will continue to do great......That meal thing that I mentioned on my blog is not on CK...It is on another site I have been playing around with..since I only have one more month here...Logging is real simple there...once you put a food into your breakfast for example..everytime you go to log breakfast...you just check the food you are going to eat and enter ....if you are having something that you have not had before you look that up and it is in your breakfast area for the next time...I hope I have not confussed you...Have a great day:)

Hi Lori, don't look at this in a negative way - think of it this way . . . you may have overate anyway and not had that exercise to counteract the extra calories. If doing this much exercise is unusual for you, maybe your body just reacted and thought it was starving. My guess is that you keep up this type of intensity on your exercising, your food will follow and you won't find yourself overeating like that again. Great job on the exercise!!
