View MOUGHI's food & exercise for this day

Thanks for the input on yesterdays blog. I have come up with the fact that the most important thing I could do for myself is to get this weight off and to make this diet a life style as Nadine has mentioned. It has become a life style for the most part, but I still have remnants of old habit patterns that linger and give me problems that need to be dealt with. As I struggle with these patterns an issues I have come up with ideas to deal with them. I need to go to some kind of food specific meeting where I can talk with people who have over come eating disorders or have overcome the same situations I have. Thus, join a group like WW or some group like this in my are would now be beneficial. My church support group is too general for my needs. I am currently looking around to see what my options are. There is a local WW watcher program in the area, but I don't know of another weight group that I would trust in the area. My dietitian cost too much money to meet with her every week unless she will take a discount, but I think a group meeting might do me some good. It's being around others that I find I can draw some strength. I won't give up my church group. I can still go to their meetings as we meet on two different nights so I will have my pick of which nights to choose from. One of the night meetings will not have food present at that meeting. That might be the better meeting for me to go to like Bun mentioned, and is a shorter more intense study meeting anyway.
Today I started logging !!!! Told my husband that I could only eat pizza when I go to the gym. I only eat pizza occasionally anyway, but I told him on a pizza day it is a MUST because there are extra calorie and carbs involved. We make our pizza from Amy's roasted vegetarian pizza. We take that pizza, add our cheese and some grilled chicken and a few olives. The total calorie count is around 640 calories for a half pizza if you use soy cheese. I guess I could just eat 1/4 of the pizza which is about a 4 inch slice. What would you all do ? Pizza is one of those foods where it is hard to eat just one slice and hard to get out under 300 calories. I eat Pizza maybe once every three months. The Superbowl is coming up and my hubby would like to have pizza this year. He likes our pizza we make make because we have some control over the calories and won't over eat on it. Traditionally, I have always cooked turkey burgers for the super bowl. He may get that any way since pizza is so hard to figure out for me.

:hi: Lori, I have joined WW online. It is what I needed at this point in my life. Of course, I was a WW member years ago, that is one reason I got to my goal. I love their point system. It is, for me, so much easier than counting calories. Of course, it is like any program, you have to make it work. It is like CK or any other way of dieting, lifestyle or whatever name you want to attach to it, you can eat 23 points of junk or 23 healthy points, just as you can eat 1200 calories of healthy food or 1200 calories of junk. I would love to go to the meetings, but that is not within my budget, but if you can find one with a good leader, go for it. As far as the pizza, if I didn't eat it any more often than you do, I would eat whatever kind I wanted. Just budget your calories for it....enjoy!

Pizza is a hard food to know what to do with, it is a staple in our society. I get pizza from Pizza Hut so I can count it and I plan ahead for it by eating a little bit less at other meals so I have some extra calories. I really enjoy eating it so I won't give it up but I do make sure I am not over eating it.

I've been looking for a group too and haven't found one that fits my needs. I'm beginning to wonder if I need to start my own!
