MOUGHI's CalorieKing blog

View MOUGHI's food & exercise for this day

Slowly but surely I am getting back on track and cutting back down on my calories again in order to lose some of the weight I gained over the holiday and to start losing the last of my weight. It has taken me a long time to finely decide that I didn't want to stay at the 150 weight range. I guess I didn't like that hump of a belly that I still have left and wanted it to shrink down more. It is only going to go down if I lose some more weight. I figure by now my body has rested from the first stage of dieting and is ready to go at it again. I am anxious to see how long it will take before I see some weight come off. I am guessing my weight is around the 148 - 149 mark to start off with since I weigh in the morning so I am putting down that number as a beginning number. Since I am delaying my surgery till after Easter I will have some good exercise time to help me out for a few months to help me get started. I have no idea how quickly or slowly the weight will come off so no goals will be set or time tables are being set for the finally last pounds. I will aim for consistency and making the gym five times a week.
I made some Mexican peppers last night and had enough to freeze for meals latter on down in the month. My hubby enjoyed the fact that I had the kitchen half cleaned up too when he got home.
Next week we have two new grocery store opening two minutes from our house. For the past eight years I have lived where I have, I have had to drive thirty minutes just to get to a grocery store. You learn to take an ice chest and fill it with ice during the hot summer if you want to buy certain foods. It was almost impossible to ask hubby to bring home something from work as the grocery store was way out of his way. Well now we can just run up to a store and get a vegetable or bread now. We also don't have any eating places except a pizza place near us. ( not that this bothers us ) Things are growing up around us. The only draw back is the traffic lights and the traffic to go with it. The good thing about these two new grocery stores is that they will be the cream of all grocery stores. HEHEHEHE The Kroger and HEB companies realized in order to compete out here they would have to bring out their best flagship's store. So, they have gone all out with extras in these stores. I will have a huge fish counter in one store, a natural organic selection whole food section in the other store, sushi in both, gourmet foods in one, etc. I could give you the list, but I won't. No, this isn't as good as Trader Joes or Central Market, but a close second, and these stores will be ten minutes from my house ! Now if Blockbuster would put a store in this shopping center I would have it made !

Having the store closer will be a nice thing for you, I'm sure. Just so long as it's not too convenient - if you know what I mean. :thumbu2: I'm happy to hear that you'll have the extras - fish, organic foods - etc. Nice. Good luck on getting off those last pounds! :wave1:
