View MOUGHI's food & exercise for this day
Today a friend of mine is taking me to her vegetable co-op. I am going to look at the program but probably won't join. I have two new grocery stores about to open near me and am inclined not to participate in a program where I have to drive another 50 minutes once a week to get food now. Also, I don't buy vegetables in bulk for two people since they tend to go bad before honey and I can eat them up. I have never seen a co-op before but wanted to see one so I wanted to go any way and see what all the fuss was about. It should be fun to see anyway. I also like buying exotic veggies and cooking them. I wonder will they have any of these, like Chinese veggies. This doesn't matter since I have a Chinese grocery store just down the road from me where i can get a whole lot of these kind of veggies not to mention that HEB carries a lot of Chinese veggies. I hope my new HEB carries the Chinese Veggies too.
I managed to get in a gym visit last night, and I mean a night visit. I usually go during the day, but didn't have time till the evening to go to the gym. Now I know why I don't go in the evening. The gym is way too crowded during that time for me. It is hard to get the equipment I want and get the time on it during that time. I also found out that my body doesn't have as much energy by that time in the day. I didn't have much of a snack before I went since I wasn't feeling all that great and peppy to begin with so this may have played a part too. I will stick to my morning or afternoon workouts for sure. I don't know how people manage to work out in the evening after a day of work. I would be just too tired with my body, then to go home and cook and take care of kids...you girls who do this, I now have greater respect for you !
Must go and get ready for today's activities. I did stay on my diet yesterday. I was off a little calorie wise, but not if I counted some exercise calories, which I didn't in the CK totals because I don't know how to calculate the bike machine. I'm feeling OK with my exercise and food balance which is a good thing. I have had trouble there before. I guess my body has adapted to the amount of exercise and doesn't feel that I am starving it now so cutting back isn't going to cause any problems now like it did six months ago. I can't wait for some scale action to give me some encouragement now.
Have a good now.

I wish I had access to a food coop or a farmers market, but buying in large volume would be a problem for me, too. I joined a gym but I am done working at 3:30 so I don't think that will be peak rush hour. I like the sweetener Truvia. It's not bitter like stevia. My husband and I are both using it.

Driving 50 minutes is rather far just to get veggies. We have a co-op locally and the pick ups are at homes. The one in my town is right in my neighborhood but it's before I get home from work so I canceled. Gyms are definitely better during the day--much too crowded at night!

The co-op idea is great - but I feel the same way as you (that I'd waste a lot of food if I joined one). Yep - I agree - I don't have the umph to exercise in the evenings, like I do in the mornings. Have a great day!

I agree with you on the co-op thing. Sounds like the stores you are getting will have all kinds of new and interesting things without having to drive an hour.

You're right, the gym is packed at night...it makes it really hard to go! Hope you have a great time at the co-op, it should be interesting to see!
