Sunday, Jan 18 2009 - the scale is moving
View MOUGHI's food & exercise for this day
I didn't do too well sticking to the diet, but still the scale did move this week. This is a good thing for me though. It takes me a few weeks to get all the discipline and tricks of the trade back in order anyway. I do feel I am getting back to into the groove. The key is sticking to what I plan each day. Exercise goal was met last week. I exercised 5 days out of 7 even tough I only went to the gym three of those days. The other two days I walked around the neighborhood which is fine. I love walking outside more than I do on the treadmill because I can smell the air and hear the birds and see the sights. I also seem to get a real sense of time when I walk outside. I like the fact that I am pacing myself and not a machine too.
Short blog this morning. I will write more latter. Honey got sick so we aren't able to go down and watch the marathon, but it is on TV. The kids told me last night that they are running in it. So, I am going to record it. SIL hasn't trained for it so I don't think he will come in under three hour hours like he has in years past. Daughter is doing the half so she should make the cut off for the TV coverage. She hasn't trained for it since she has been busy working, so they are using this as a training run today. I am home taking care of a very sick man.
I'm back now, the race is over for my kids now. Aaron ran a 3:52:48 which is slow for him, but he hasn't been training since he is trying to get his business starting. Beka ran the half marathon in 2:07:21 which is good too since she didn't train for it either. I guess you could say this was a Sunday run for them, but for Aaron he will have to rest up more from running this race more than Beka will.
I put on my walking shoes to go outside and the dog immediately went to the door. Do we have that dog trained or not ! I wish I had different pairs of walking shoes like my PT does. She has one for just outside walking. Her dogs know that pair of shoes. When she puts on that pair they go crazy because they know it means they are going to get a walk. I only have two pair of shoes so my dog hasn't figure this out quite yet, but she knows the walking shoes means she has a chance of going outside, so she gets real bouncing when she sees when I put them on.

Poor dog !

My goal is to run the HM in under 2:00. I am not at all sure I can do it particularly because my runs are getting slower! I am glad you got some movement (downward!) on the scale. As for Grey's, it is a continuing story line with the serial killer//Derek trying to save him, Merideth feeling bad for him//Dereks mother came and Merideth was being all fake trying to impress her//Izzie breaks up with dead Denny (wierd) -- can you watch it on your computer? The episodes are free on abc.com?
