View MOUGHI's food & exercise for this day
I feel like I'm in the land of the living today. I got up and felt that tomorrow will bring. There is a peace in my heart although I can't wait to see how everything will work out. I know my diet will have to get down and be more disciplined as well as my budget skills. This will be good for my husband and I. Already hubby has lost weight and is excited about his diet. Whew who !!!! My pants are loser even though I haven't registered any significant weight loss. We both giggled about the fact that we are now both trying to stay on a financial and food diet at the same time. What or how are we going to manage buying new pants on our strained budget as we need them now. That's when I smiled and said, " that's what a good belt is for !" We giggled. I did mention though that belt will only go so far and that when the pants come falling off even with a belt, he will need a new pair of pants. When that happens to me, I will actually be at my goal weight, so I am not too worried since I only have 15-20 pounds to go which should be 1 or two sizes down from where I am now. Hubby though could go down more pant sizes before he hits his goal weight which will be more of a challenge on our budget. This is the part of losing weight that I hate the most, having to buy new clothes !!!! It is not a motivator for me.
I making a pot of Turkey stew today so that left overs can be taken for hubby's lunches next week and also to have some left overs for when I don't feel like cooking. I am trying to make a soup or something like this once a week that can be used in this way. So far I have planned to make a Salmon loaf, meatloaf, and a turkey stew which will be able to be made into frozen meals and be used for lunches. I will make some veggies and roasted potatoes and noodles to go into these meals. This weekend I will finish making these meals and thus have a few weeks of lunches made that can be inter mixed with the leftovers we have daily that we use for lunches. My husband has really enjoyed taking his lunch once he realized that there is more variety in what I can provide that what he was getting going out. And yes Sue, I cook pretty well so he's not hurting. In fact the fellas at the office are jealous he told me that their wives don't prepare such meals for them ! HEHEHEHEH ! I have been eating at home like this for years. Good solid lunches and enjoying it. Today I will pack my lunch since I have to go out about town. I will take a salad , sandwich, fruit , bottle of water, and a thermos of coffee. It's a great way to stay on your diet too.
I officially have lost the Christmas weight I had put on during the months between Oct and Dec. Now I can begin to start working off the rest of my final pounds. Yea. Foot surgery is on hold until we can figure out how to finance it. We are working out a deal with the hospital to pay them monthly. If they go for it, I should be able to have the surgery. The same with he doctors. I need the surgery, so I am hoping that I am still able to have it this year. In the mean time I will work on my weight and continue to exercise and get into shape.

Congrats on getting the Christmas weight off. It's frustrating losing weight you've already lost before, isn't it?

Glad you are feeling calm and peaceful today! Turkey chili sounds delish.
=D And to answer your question from yesterday, both Joelle and Carla were sent home as a team, which is too bad for Carla because she was really working out hard and wanted to be at the ranch. Oh well, I wish her the best in losing weight! Hope you have a wonderful day today.
