View MOUGHI's food & exercise for this day

I had a working weekend. I had my SIL and daughter at their fun run this Saturday. My job was to help the runners get food down them after the race. I think I made over 250 P&J sandwiches, cut up dozen of bagels, and in general made sure people got their free T-shirts. They had around 400 runners which was a good turn out considering it was treating to rain the whole time. The coarse was held at the Sam Houston race track which is the local horse track. They are hoping the next time the race is held which is next month for St. Patty's day the race track will put the race up on their big sign. That would be cool. I would like to walk the course someday and get an official time and see how fast I could walk a 3K someday, but for now they need me making food. :(( For info on my SIL races go to onurleft.com) He will be doing triathalons latter and other neat races.
Tomorrow I go in and have my final nerve burn for the first part of this year. It will be in my hip and in my thorasic area of my spine. I should be ok for another 5-6 months before I need any more. Next I will have foot surgery as soon as we can afford it. Our lawyers told us to go ahead and have the surgery as long as we pay cash for them. I need the surgery on my feet which are hurting more every day and now causing problems with my knees and hip because I can't get shoes to fit me correctly. It's funny, but if you don't have shoes that fit you, your knees will hurt if you try to walk in a bad pair of shoes. That's what is happening to me now since the athletic shoes I did have that feet my feet are now worn out and I have gone back to my old walking shoes which don't fit well. After a two mile walk my knees hurt and so does my hip !!!:evil::evil: I do not want to put up with this after all the progress I have made. I never realized that much of my problem in exercising was due to my feet because I was so heavy I never exercised. Now since I lost the weight and started to exercise, I have realized just how much my feet were the problem. I also put off going to a foot doctor for years. It really would not have matter. They, or he, would have told me I would have to lose the weight in order to have the operation any way. Same with my diabetic doctor. He would not have even let me have this surgery unless I have last the weight and gotten off the insulin and gotten ,y blood glucose to where it is now. So, all things are working out to where it is suppose to be to begin with in the grand scheme of things. In order to continue to exercise, I will have to get this body into shape. I will have to continue to lose more weight, get my feet into shape, watch my blood sugar, exercise, exercise, exercise.
When I saw those runners yesterday I was SOOOOO envious, but I rejoiced because I know how far I have come and that given the chance I could walk that course with them. In fact their was an older couple out there walking the course. He had had two hip replacement surgeries. He was limping and she was moving about my speed. They said they walked the half marathon !!!!! He said he hurts like me every time he walks, but he does it any way. I thanked him for sharing his story with me. I told him I will make it a goal someday to walk at least a 5k, don't know about a half marathon although I have walk a ten miler in my youth.
Food has been too good this week. I went over in calories, but didn't eat any junk food. This week my goal is to log and try and stay in my cal count.
