View MOUGHI's food & exercise for this day

Today I took it easy. I had steroid shots instead of nerve burns in my hip and thorasic areas yesterday and will have to go back Monday to finish the treatment. I can already tell that my hip is responding to the treatment which indicates that it is involved in the whole right side hip, Si joint, knee, heel nerve problem. It is my shorter leg and the side where the disc are the worse. It is like a domino effect. One thing goes and the rest have followed. Even my right shoulder is my worse. The good news is that all this is treatable even though the treatment doesn't mean that I will get 100 % pain free relief. I will get comfortable relief so that I can live my life without being on pain killers daily and be able to keep movement in my life. I am great full that I can walk, stand in front of the kitchen sink and now cook, do some light chores around the house, and drive the car with pain. I still have trouble dusting and vacuuming but hubby can do those things. I envy you all that can do boot camps and half marathons and 2 hours of heavy weights at the gym. When I hear people complain about exercise, I get all :evil::evil: in side because I would love to be able to not have any limitations on my body. It is such a blessing from God to have the body to exercise. Now, I know many of us our over weight and that keeps us from exercising to our bodies most efficient abilities. So, do be care full if you have a 100 pounds on you when you exercise. Take it cautiously at first. There is no crime to exercise according to your weight class and gradually work up to what your body ca do. I am talking about the people who complain about exercise every time it hurts just a little. Even athletes experience that uncomfortable ache of their body saying, I'm not warmed up, or I don't feel great today, or I'm sore or tight today. It takes mental toughness to get to and through a work out. It also takes a commitment just like dieting. I am talking to myself today as I have figured out that the morning is the best time for me to go to the gym every day. My body responds best then. As I prepare myself for future surgery, I must make sure I am in good health both physically and mentally. So, I will plan on getting a schedule together after I get through all these back procedures. I will have a few months before surgery. I want to be walking three miles a day by the time I have surgery and biking 6 miles. I also must somehow force myself to lose five pounds....I've been saying that for nine months now. :rock1::rock1::rock1:

I hereby swear I will never complain about the pain of exercise...but I might whine about now wanting to do it. :wink3:

I am sorry you feel this way, but it IS getting better. I give you permission to cuss and scream at me anytime :hi: I will think about you and your trouble when it gets tough at the HM and try my best keep the "oh just give up" thoughts at bay. You are an inspiration, you don't give up even though things are tough for you.

:hi: I am sorry that you are having health problems, but glad that it is better. I, too, am thankful for my health and want to try to take better care of what the Lord has given me. You take care, you are in my prayers.
