View MOUGHI's food & exercise for this day
I was way too hungry yesterday on 1250 calories so I am going to go back and try to keep under 1300 calories and see if I will lose at 1300. I lost my weight at this amount the last time and was able to stay on it because I could eat more protein and keep myself from feeling hungry all the time. If I can stay on this for a while, then I will cut back. I feel exercise will help me make up the difference in calories from 1300 to 1250 if I don't eat back the exercise calories. Yesterday I didn't do too well at the end of the day because I had to eat my dinner way to early in the day in order to make an evening meeting. By the time the evening came I was hungry with no food left. I gave in and went over. Today I am doing much better, but won't be able to make it to the gym today. I added more protein to my plan and will see if this works out better for me. I also will cut down on my coffee to just one glass. Ok it was only decaf, but I like splenda and a little bit of soy milk in mine and could drink up to 32 oz or a pot a day. I am going to cut this to 12 oz a day. I always counted the calories of my soy, splenda, and coffee, but now I will eat an apple instead of drinking that coffee. I have herb tea, my own Rooibos chai blend, that I like to substitute for coffee. I just like drinking hot liquids over cold. I even now prefer my water warmer now.

Good luck figuring out the calorie range. You wouldn't think 50 calories would make much of a difference but it does!!

I think starting off with a slightly higher calorie range is a smart way to ease back into this. It can be frustrating to be hungry and that can sabotage you too easily. You're right that the extra exercise you're doing will balance out the few extra calories. And IF later on you find it doesn't, then you can cut back the extra 50. I bet you start seeing a loss pretty quick now that your body has fully adjusted (and stayed at!) 149 for a while. I think that's a HUGE accomplishment that you didn't gain any back!
