View MOUGHI's food & exercise for this day

Thursday I hurt so bad I called and went in the my pain specialist. Sure enough my nerves were inflamed by something I did over the past month or the fact I didn't get enough relief from the last procedure to last a long enough time. Any way, I was right in not exercising since it would make the inflammation worse in my case. I was told to do all things I know to do for a few weeks as with to go in for another procedure in two weeks. So, I am using my stimulator, putting ice on my joints, resting and not doing anything that can make it worse, only taking the pain killers when I get to level 10 pain, and trying to keep my eating under control. The dogs will have to wait for their walks until my back is strong again since walking them can make it worse. Callie is not leashed trained and thus pulls my back right now. This does not feel too good on a sore back. She won't be hard to train since she wants to stay by me, but it will take a few months of walking to get her adjusted to the leash. In the mean time, I will have be strong again before I can continue her training.
I won't be able to help out this weekend on my SIL's half marathon. They had me helping out at the food station preparing the pasta for the runners when they finish. Too much lifting and standing on my feet, so I decided to stay home. My husband will take my place. This will work out for the best since we have only had Callie two weeks and I didn't really want to leave her with the storms coming through this weekend. This is the first storm weekend she has spent with us since we adopted her and I wanted to see her reaction to them. Last night when it started to hail she got scared a peed on the floor as the room lit up and thunder and hail could be heard. I also think my husband scared her when he came in from the bedroom to check in on us since I was staying up late to watch TV. All of this happened at one time and Callie just panicked and peed right there in the middle of the room. I don't think she will do this again after i gave her my Callie frown look. By the way, try explaining to a weener length dog that she can't fit into the same space as a 7 pound toy dog ! It's a funny sight as she tries to get into the places where Xena sits !
I used my freezer meals that I made for I don't have time to cook occasions last night. I am sure glad I spent time making these meals. It was sure nice to have a few good meals this week when I was unable to cook this week. It also was nice because they tasted better than what I could have bought in the frozen food section of the store and had a lot more food in them as well. I really suggest that everyone make some of these frozen meals and put them up for nights such as the ones I have had. All you do is take a dinner where you can double or triple your recipe including your veggies and carb. Pack the extras in rubbermade freezer containers, let those sit in the frig over night before putting them in the freezer. I put down the portions and cal count on each package and mark it for hubby or me since we eat different portions.
Well, have a good weekend.

I'm sorry you are in such pain. I am a freezer meals person myself, and a good idea about writing the cal count on the package. I always have to guess, or look back into my diary.
