Yesterday I had a good food day. I actually stayed on my diet until I needed some food because of a low blood sugar which was totally unexpected. I had cut back on my food without cutting back on one of my meds. So, today I will leave out my evening medication and see how it goes. If at ten I have a reading over 120 I will take the medication. If I am under 100, I will let it be and see where my blood sugar is the following morning before I decided to continue to take the medication at night wh...

clearing the pantry

I'm cleaning out my pantry and making sure I don't have any tempting crackers, sweets, or cereals in which to blow my diet on. Most of the stuff I buy in this category is actually healthy, but I still have a tendency to take the back and start eating from it on these products which leads to a binge. I am going to just have to not buy things like this for a while until I can get myself under control. Control is what I am working on.

I don't know why I am having such a hard time with control ...

anniversary

Today is my anniversary. We have been married 34 years. After church we went to Houston's, one of our favorite restaurants and ate a hamburger. We split it actually and a bowl of soup. Then we had a bowl of strawberries with this fancy cream on it and both decided we actually prefer cool whip instead ! For dinner we ate light and had a smoked pork salad since a friend of ours had given us a pound of smoked pork tenderloin was delicious and made a wonderful salad with a balsamic vinegar dressing....

Running over by just a little now

I'm beginning to settle down now with my eating. I'm running over by just a little now. I think I will have the sweet thing under control in a few weeks if not days now. Like Amy and Nadine did, I may or probably will have to go on a no sweets for a month to get them out of my system. Been absent for a few days as I have been out of the house running around. I am in the process of getting rid of foods that I let creep back into my house when I got weak and got off my food program. Sugar was my main culprit. I had to go back and re-read my notes on things that I would not do on order to keep my weight off from the Beck cards.
