I borrowed this term from a friend of mind who sometimes doesn't speak proper English. L like her term " confuzzeled ". I now have in my brain different diet plans and a whole bunch of info in my brain. No big deal really, but once in a while I feel like shaking my head and trying to make sense of it all. Let's see over the past twenty years I have been taught the exchange system ( old WW program that went with the quick start program ), the carb counting method, for insulin pump users, back to exchanges and calories counting, to know the Point system. As well as the American Diabetes Ass. and Cal. King food portion exchanges which differ slightly, but only in a few areas.

What I have I learned in all of this ? Well, the portions are mostly uniformed in all diets because someone was smart enough back there to see to it that we have a standard in the industry. There are a few exceptions for diabetics in Pasta, rice, beans etc. Our serving size is now 1/3 cup instead of 1/2 cup. You will find a few books still listing pasta servings as 1/2 cup. So, if you know your portions, no matter what diet you are on, you should be all right. Isn't that what a restricted weight loss diet is all about anyway ? Portion control !
