View MOUGHI's food & exercise for this day
I'm having a good day and making good food choices. There were some temptations today as I went to the store to pick up an ingredient top finish a project and get something for dinner, very hungry ! There were nibbles all around the store. I gave in to a nibble of a Laura's health bar. It was just a tiny bit of a bite. I broke my rule of no sample foods justifying it with the, " I know what this taste like any way " !! HE HE, I just love the way my mind likes to play games with me when it wants to convince me something is all right to do. What logic I have at times like this. Too me it makes perfect since. Have you ever wondered what your food logic would sound like to someone else ? The reason you give that it is ok to eat something ? If someone else could hear those thoughts, what would they think ? Some of my friends would know for sure there is something wrong with me.
A friend of mine last week admitted he got mad last week at Target when he tried on some pants and couldn't get into them. After saying a few things about the people who made them, he threw down the pants and went and found something in the store to eat because he was made. At who, he latter thought. He ate because he was made at someone else when he should have been mad at himself for over eating. He finally said he had to deal with his denial an anger too. Been there ! Still have problems once in a while with that same demon. Funny, how our mind plays these tricks on us. I am talking as if our mind is a third person her. Sometimes it feels like it too. Because my desire to be good seems to be in direct conflict to what I think and eventually do. Like most people who have a food addiction, learning to deal with one's mind is sometime the toughest challenge. This is the one that takes years. The good news is that the mind can be retrained to think positive and become your friend and ally.
Ok, I will end my blog with one of my fav bible verses because it deals with this subject. When I became a christian,I found out that God helps in the transforming of that mind. In the train of that mind. Here's that promise :
" Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation, the old is gone, the new has come ! " 2 Co.5:17
