Both of my kid's called to wish me a happy MD. My daughter was getting over the same stuff I have, only I seemed to have a worse case of what ever is going around. I still have a slight fever and am going through my third box of tissue this weekend.
I'm not trying to cut calories while I'm sick, but have decided to go on a maintenance regiment while sick. I figured my body may need the extra cals to help fight the infection. I am eating a few extra fruits and protein,and tyring to be good. This is probably the first time I have been sick that I have really NOT treated myself to comfort food while sick. I have approached food as medicine. Which food is more likely to get me better... That mentality has really helped me. Although, I did junk out just a little last night with some Murry sugar free cookies and cool whip and a half piece of bread with a slither of sugar free peanut butter on it. Compared to what I allowed myself to do in the past, I am doing well.
My husband is really doing well now since he is going to our diet class. He didn't have a DR Pepper all week end. This is a biggie for him. His exercise wasn't good, but he had to work late all week. It is sooooooooo much easier now that he is taking this more seriously. I'm not being tempted as much on weekends because he's not constantly snacking !!!!!!!!!!
I find it much easier now to clean up the kitchen at night and not go back into it since he and I are not going back into it looking for evening snacks. Yea !!!!!!!!!!

Hi Iory. Thank you for your nice comments on my blog. I've missed reading your blog and your inspiration! It's nice to be "back." I hope you get feeling better soon --- even your "treats" sound very healthy. :- )
