I've been off line for a while, so let me catch everyone up as to what has been going on in my world:

Those custom shoes I have talked about for walking for years HAVE NOW BEEN ORDERED !!!! I await them, and can't wait till I have a pair of shoes that fit my feet. I certainly hope they meet my expectations. They will compensate for the leg that is shorter too. I hope some of my pain will disappear with better fitting shoes.

I am now walking in the EARLY mornings consistently now thanks to my husband who has finally joined the ranks of the rest of us. Now we prod each other to get up each morning to do our thing. He runs and I walk. I go 2-3 miles a day. I am building up to a 5k race which should be easy. The distance isn't hard, it's getting my tie under 50 minutes for the three mile walk. I need to trim it to a `12-13 minute walk per mile. Right now I easily walk a 17 minute mile. I don't know at five foot if I will ever be able to go this fast. I have seen taller people do this, but I don't know. Maybe with the custom shoes that fit it may be possible.

I have now learned alot about my emotional eating. Why I do it. Where it comes from. I have over the past two years gone through a lot of healing. There's a peace now that I have never had before. There's an understanding into myself I did not have two years ago that has calmed me down now so I can honestly say that I am no longer addicted to food now. I still have and will also face food temptations. Who doesn't ? I will always have those emotional triggers that once set me off too, but now I have and am developing ways to deal with them. Do I always succeed ? Four out of five times I am successful now. Big improvement from when I started CK.

How about my current weight. Need improvement there. I am thirty pounds from where I want to be. Yes, I have finally decided where I want and should be. At 135. That is where I will truly be satisfied.

That' all he significant news. My anniversary was last month. 35 years with Mr. Wonderful. Glad the man finally went on the diet with me and to my FPFH diet classes. Now we have a lot to talk about. He finally realized where he was enabling me !!!!!! Now he actually gets tough with me on those snacks !:bigeyes3: It's good to now have his good support and not someone who is patrolling my eating. There's a difference. Now since he is a participant he is seeing the difference. Well, that's all folks.

I'm so impressed by you and your journey. Your confidence and determination are encouraging to all of us. I am comfortable walking a 20 minute mile, and I'm five feet five --- when I push to do more than that I get aches in my hips. I think it's awesome that you are doing a 17 minute mile at your height and TOTALLY awesome that you are striving for 12-13! :clap: Congratulation on 35 years with your Mr. Wonderful and it's even more wonderful that he is now sharing your weight loss journey with you!
