View MOUGHI's food & exercise for this day

I went went to my sub division's gym tonight since I over slept and didn't make it out before 7 this morn. At 8pm the gym was crowded so I only got 20 minutes on the treadmill. This is the disadvantage to the free gym. We only have four treadmills, three ellipticals, three bikes, and limited weight machines. When the gym is busy you only get 20 minutes. I got in some time on a bike and 20 minutes on a treadmill, hardly enough time for a good workout. At least my lazy bun did one today since I over did it today.

I'm going to have to have shoulder surgery some time this summer. That frozen shoulder turns out not to b a frozen shoulder after all. The Dr. I have been seeing for some years finally got suspicious and sent me for a belated MRI. It showed an impingement of some kind in my should. Off to surgery I will go, and hopefully this thing will stop hurting. I may even get more movement in it.

My husband is a designer of oil equipment that goes down into wells such as the one that blew up in the gulf. We have had a lot of discussions lately about BP since he has had plenty of experience with them and other oil companies. Yes, they have a rep for wanting to cut cost at the price of safety. The public is now hearing what the people in the equipment sector have to deal with. There are companies that don't listen to the engineering companies when they say this needs to be done to do a job right and safely. My hubby had such a rep in his company last week that stormed out after a meeting with his company when they told them this ! Education isn't suppose to make one stupid, but it looks like universities should offer a new degree !

My son in law offer to get my hubby and I a garmen to share. I asked him if it could count calories. He said yes if you get the heat rate monitor belt to go with it. Anyone have it. My husband would use different functions on it since he would train for running. I would use it for training for speed walking and calorie counting. I think we could share since we work out at different times. What do you all think ? Hey, I would probably use it more, but who knows it may hook my husband into exercising bi time.

I :heart2: my Garmin! It will show you pace, distance, calories and heart rate if you put it all together with the monitor. //It will be hard to share, though, since you have to futz with height, weight and gender to get the calories right. It is GREAT to see you, and to see you both being so active again! Sorry to hear about the surgery!
