View MOUGHI's food & exercise for this day

I had a some what successful day. I have eating well with out over eating. I just didn't take time to log my food to see if I stayed with in my 1300 cals. I know it's these little efforts that will make the difference though. I did weigh and measure my food. It was an unintentional rest day as I just couldn't get up the energy to make it to the gym. Sunday I did the exercise bike for 30 minutes. I almost don't count that as exercise since I can't go fast enough or use high gears yet to really work out my body or get my heart rate rate up. It does use my quads in a pushing motion and gives me some movement. After that I stretched out. I sorely need the stretching since my muscles are so tight.

My operation is July 6 and I decided not to kill myself preparing before hand a lot of meals for this surgery. I have done this a lot in the past and froze them. I decided not to since we are in hurricane season and I don't want a freezer full of stocked food. We now have some decent places my husband can stop by on the way home if he gets desperate enough. One such place is called Fit Foods. It has meals that range from 280 cals to 550 calorie meals ranging in price 5-9$. They are take home meals and taste like some of my own home cooked meals. ( Mine are better, but they aren't bad ) Hubby can also steam veggies and grill meat, so we won't go hungry.

Over all, we both did well on our diets. I don't think I did well enough to drop some weight, but I did break some beat some bad habits today. When I can keep from eating when I'm tired, bored, watching TV, or just a little hungry, I consider that a victory. I want to make this kind of stuff a habit. After all, the opposite behaviour took me a while to make into a habit. I figure I can undo it. If my dog can be trained, then how much more can I train myself not to eat at inappropriate times ? The last thing I am working on is taking nibbles while I'm cooking. I guess I'll save that topic for another time.

I wanted to check in on you and see how you were holding up in the weather.

Every small battle win is another step closer to the goal, you are doing great. Love the comment about your dog, sometimes I think they are really smarter then we are.
