View MOUGHI's food & exercise for this day

I had small victories today. I didn't over eat, I ate properly, I controlled the munches at night. I was at the grocery store during the cpm hungry time when I had to pick up something in those tempting food bins. You know, the area where they have the bulk nuts, dried fruit mixes, unhealthy snack so called healthy snacks. There calling my name were the toffee bars. I got ONE, total 75 calories equal to one fruit serving. Granted, not the best nutritional choice as a piece of fruit, but something I wanted.

That evening my husband got in on my meal plannning for the next day. He really enjoyed participating in making choices for his lunch and matching the lunch to what I was planning for dinner. It is really interesting now as he is becoming more involved an intersting with what I am doing now. This guy is really taking seriously now his diet after all the years I was trying to get him on board ! Now I have to get serious again !

Oh, hubby found out he made it into the Houston marathon. Right now he can run 1.5 miles. He signed up for the half...five months to train... :cross3: well my daughter did her first half on five months of training, but I'm a little nervous about this.Maybe I'm just envious because all my life I have always wanted to be able to run, but asthma and a bad spine has made that dream impossible. I am dreaming about getting back on a bike again someday and doing some kind of bike ride. In the mean time just walking those two-thre-and someday five miles is a blessing. AANDDDDDDD next week with shoes that fit my feet.

That isn't a small victory, I say that is huge!! Great job!!

Wow, how exciting for your husband!! I understand your feelings, I will never be fast and because of my heart problems will always have to do some kind of interval. You could always walk a half, my dad is going to do it in November.
