Sometimes when I find myself having a hard time with food an exercise, I ask what will motivate me. In the past it was getting off insulin, bringing my numbers down, getting off meds, and just feeling bettter. Once I reached that point, I found I needed a new goal besides staying where I had gotten. Reading everyones exercise goals was inspiring but deflating because I can't run marathons, or just run period due health problems. So, I have sought to find some kind of exercise that I could do that would make me as excited as my friends and motivte me as well. Walking is ok, but it's not that exciting to me right now.
I need to fing out a way to make exercise exciting and a part of my life. I need to find a way were inside of me I want to exercise and it beomes so much a part of me I can't live without it. When I do this, I know part of the equation will be there for my conntinued journey in weight loss and stabilizing my weight.

You are right, Lory! That is definitely one of the secrets to success -- could you get some workouts from your daughter and son and law even if you have to do them on your own (or, maybe with hubby?!) -- that will satisfy that need to 'accomplish' something? I know when I finish a hard workout I feel GREAT even if I didn't do EVERYTHING.
You just keep on plugging away and it WILL happen!
