View MOUGHI's food & exercise for this day

I enjoyed my stay in Denver and all of the Russian food I experienced. I just wished my s-i-l would remember that sugar free candy is still not the best gift to give me. Oh, I loved it, but that's my point.I have no will power and even sugar free candy is too hard on my blood sugar. I really did enjoy all of the fish though. She is a Russian Orthodox and when I was there they were still in their fast before Christmas. This means they were eating fish. I got to try smoke white fish, russian crepes, russian cavier, a different smoked salmon that I had never had before. We had Colorado trout which was yummy and had some Japanese sushi. I also tried russian pancakes, and pickled tomatoes, meat pie and a few other things on Christmas. Yum. I brought home the crepe recipe, but you can look it up under the " sasha's" russians crepes on the net. They are different tasting from fr crepes. I like them with fish, but I think they would go great with chicken.

I have to watch that sugar free candy too... because some of it is still fattening, and it can cause stomach upset. My poor daughter got a hold of some sugar free jelly belly beans and ate a handful of them. I guess it was the sugar alcohols or whatever they use in place of the sugar, but it made her violently sick. She screamed from stomach upset until she got sick and tossed it. Then everything was ok. She was three then, and now she is seven and still won't touch a jelly bean - sugar free or not. On another note, I was going to tell you that I was on CK a year or so ago and had friended you for awhile. I was living in San Antonio then. The strange part is that for some reason I ran across your blog again when I signed back up this month and we are almost neighbors now. I live on the border of Missouri City. I am in The Highlands just South of First Colony Mall off of Hwy. 6. I actually went ahead and contacted Fort Bend Fit. I may start running with them towards the end of the month, but I am just interested in running with novices for right now - because I have a long way to go to running a half-marathon even. I just want to get healthy first - and then tackle the perks of being healthy-like being able to run a marathon. ;) Thanks for the GREAT advice - I think thats why I be-friended you the last time I was on CK. You helped me out with some sugar issues :). Glad to see you had a good time in Denver! I'll stay in touch!:wave1:
