View MOUGHI's food & exercise for this day

Well the the Evasive Spinal Surgery went well and I am recovering well. The doctor was able to repair the bulging disc and clean up the decompressed discs on the right side pretty good. I can tell the will be less pain on my right side. He couldn't do anything to the SI joint because of the location of the joint. That will need a different king of surgery. The laser surgery can take care of soft tissue damage but not damage due to bone. That would require open back surgery which I am trying to avoid. At this point this surgery works for the lower back, but I don't know if it can work for herniated and bulging disc higher up the back since they have to go in through the sacrum and travel up the spinal cannel. Which in my case was the complication due to a curved coccyx. Anyway, my recuperation will be weeks instead of months since I was not cut open. No surgery in my case would have taken care all pain due to my condition, but will help calm it down. So, I'm glad I took this approach.
I also found out either due to the slight weight gain or a tired pancreas my blood sugar is not being controlled by my current meds. I tried four different meds before I gave up and asked the doc to put me back on insulin. Right now I am on long acting insulin ( 2 shots a day ). If this doesn't work I will go back on the pump. History shows that if I lose 20 pounds I might be able to get off insulin. If I lose the 20 and my sugars don't change, then it would be an indication my body is changing. I have to lose those 20 again to find out. Ywo things have to occure for me to find out. I will need heal enough to start my exercise program back ( that went bye bye this year with the operations I had ), and I will have to start logging and being really strick on my food plan.
I always did a little better when I really had a challenge. This is one life challenge I have to win and keep a good attitude about. What I don't want to hear from any of my friends is " It's ok Lory we love you the way you are and it's ok if you just stay on your'e food plan most of the time, after all nobody's perfect." What I want to hear is " Lory, stay on your food plan. You can do it. You have what it takes. Love youeself enough to want to change. We will support you by... helping you... " Don't give me permission to make excuses for failure I can do that on my own, but give me reasons not to make those excuses.
If anyone reads this, I am mainly talking to my friends who will never read this and I know this. You guys know all of this. I just had to get this off of my little typing fingers ! Thanks foe letting me VENT. Take care all.

I know I'm not one of your personal friends but I'll say this: Lory, stay on your food plan. You can do it. You have what it takes.
