View MOUGHI's food & exercise for this day
I started my diet today. I went over my cal count, but if I had exercised I would have been right on target. No one has to tell me the answer to this problem. I would have gone to the gym, but I spent the day at the doctor's off and traveling. Tomorrow I will have to hit the gym and start my rehab. The question is whether to join a local gym in order to get a pool access. Several of my doctors want me in the pool and not on my feet. My subdivision pool is OK for the summer, but I don't like getting into the heat of fighting the kids for walking laps in a pool. We also don't have full weight equipment in our gym...big decisions.
I'm still working on getting shoes so I can walk period. That is making exercising hard. It's a long story when you have my feet. Anyway, I do have one good piece of news that has gone my way, I got a free insulin pump from my insurance company. Yea ! I needed to go back on insulin so I asked my insurance if I about when I could get coverage on a new pump. Not only was I up for a new pump, I was up for a trade in which meant I would not be out any money. Everyone suggested I upgrade to the new pump which would have a warranty and have some new features as well. Yippee !
Now the good and the bad about being on insulin and wearing a pump means I have to pay more attention to what I eat. This always makes me get back on my diet and stay on it. Today as I put down my food I saw on paper how my eating was doing. My blood sugar was Ok, but I could see how if I stayed on a better diet my numbers would be better and my weight would improve. Numbers motivate me and keep me from getting apathetic. That apathy is what got me into trouble, along with not wanting to keep diligent.
