Ok, only people here at CK would get it when I confessed to my recovery group people tonight that this month I have been really bad about sneaking and going out and getting chocolate candy behind my husband's back and eating it. We made a deal not to bring candy and junk food into the house, and I being the diabetic made a promise to myself I would not even eat sugar free candy in order to keep my blood sugar down without the use of insulin. Some people in my recovery group couldn't understand ...

Today I made some vegetarian chili and had a Boca hot dog for the first time. They were a little spicy but not too bad compared to other veggie dogs I have had. I prefer them over the tofu dogs I had at my brothers house over Labor Day last year. I have never tried the Boca burgers yet, but my daughter eats a lot of those. Lately, I have been eating vegetarian for lunch about five times a week and have enjoyed the change. I really like tofu burgers and Amy's regular flavor vegetarian burgers. Thursday I hurt so bad I called and went in the my pain specialist. Sure enough my nerves were inflamed by something I did over the past month or the fact I didn't get enough relief from the last procedure to last a long enough time. Any way, I was right in not exercising since it would make the inflammation worse in my case. I was told to do all things I know to do for a few weeks as with to go in for another procedure in two weeks. So, I am using my stimulator, putting ice on my joints, resti...couldn't get motivated to exercise

No matter how I tried I have not been able to get motivated to exercise this week. I have been exhausted and in pain all week. I have my gym bag in my car and know that I need to make that trip to see if the pain will go away when I start exercising. Right now I am having a lot of nerve pain and I don't like what this could mean so I have been really lazy about the whole exercise thing. It could in fact be because I have taken off so much time or it could be because I have strained myself when ...settling in

The new dog is settling in. We had to be gone some of the week end, but she did all right and showed she could be left alone for short periods of time. My dog is doing OK with her, but occasionally has to let the new dog know who is boss. I went and made sure my dog got her booster kennel cough shot Friday, but it may have been too late as I think she may have come down with it. Xena is all ready on antibotics for her allergies and was up to date on her shot, so the vet said if she does get it,...
