Yippee!My new numbers are coming in from my recent pump adjustment. They are all in the 100's. My doc may still consider that low, but it's better than the 80's and 60's I had been dealing with for the past month. So far today I have had no lows and feel great. I've been meditating today on what it means to be committed and to take responsibility for my actions concerning my weight gain. Take away the vicoden and morphine doc. I'm ready to give it up after 20 years of being dependent upon pain meds for chronic pain. The doc said, "great, I'll wean you off gently and we'll continue with the steroid injections and exercises." That was the start of a brand new life for me one year ago today. I can't believe he brought home okra and asked if I would fry it up for tonights dinner. No matter how I tried to figure it into my days plan, it would not fit into days a lotted calories. Today was the first time I ever got up early and went to the gym. I just had to see if I could get back on the treadmill without hurting. Actually walked for 20 min. at 1.5 speed and felt like I could have kept going if it wasn't for the fact that all week I have been having trouble with my blood sugar levels being low.
