View MSTEECHUR's food & exercise for this day
Today was a pretty nice day! We got up about 7:40 and were thinking of joining the North Sound Runners who meet at Jennings Park, but one source said they meet at 8:00 and one said 9:00 so we decided to run to Starbucks instead. Had breakfast together and then ran home. It was windy and COLD! At least the way back was better.
Took a trip to Costco and indulged on my very berry sundae, which I used to believe was lower in calories than it really is. Doggone Calorieking for enlightening me! I preferred to live in ignorant bliss! I'm sure Roy will want DQ tonight, but one ice cream treat a day is all I'll have (especially since it is now 8 points rather than the 5 I used to count).
After Costco I took Dash over to see Lisa where he got to wrassle around with his brothers and ma. I was glad to say that they hadn't forgotten each other! So freaking cute watching them all play. Lisa is trying to be a puppy pusher and get me to take another one. My heart says "Yes!" when I see them playing. My head says "Do you want to try to housebreak and trainTWO puppies at once? Are you mad!?"
My head wins every time. If we didn't already have two that would be different.
Dash got his Strongid and I helped weigh the other pups and held a cat while she had some unspeakable act performed on her nether regions. Boy did I get the hairy eyeball for that one!
Came home and Roy was just about finished digging out the patch of grass to the north of the front walk. It just seemed pointless to leave it grass since there isn't any grass adjacent to it any more. In fact that area will become a dog run soon. We put in six rose bushes, including three Disneyland roses that I got for Roy for Valentines and the anniversary of our first date. Also put in two lilacs that will kind of sheild off the neighbors just a tad without being intrusive, and four mediterranian heathers. I'm going to add some lavendar along the walk and some lights. I love lavendar and have always wanted a walkway with it so that as you come and go you get that beautiful smell. The garden will be mainly orange and purple (the Disneyland roses are a peachy orange). I think it will look awesome. The other roses are darker. One we got from Becki as a housewarming gift. It started to bud out the day Angie died, Becki tells me, so I think of it as Angie's Rose.
Now we are just about to sit down to dinner and watch the Oscars! Yay!
