View MSTEECHUR's food & exercise for this day

Woke up in the middle of the night last night STARVING! What's up with that? Actually, I know what's up with that. I was down almost 500 calories yesterday, but really wasn't hungry. Long run days I am going to need to find something healthy that is high in calories to add to my repertoire!

So because I was so hungry when I woke up this morning, I downed a scone. I love Great Harvest Scones...relatively low in calories, whole grain, really good. Unfortunately one is just a little too much for me and even though I know that, I eat the entire thing every time! Why oh why do I do that?

So I went out for a run with Dash. He was so excited this morning to go out! Unfortunately my scone did NOT want to go running, so it made itself known the entire run. I wanted to do five miles, although with yesterday's 16 that is probably too much, but I only did three. I kept waiting for my stomach to settle but it didn't. Dash, however, had a GREAT time and almost pulled me down a hill when someone with an unruly juvenile delinquent dog let her dog lunge and bark at him.

Got home and laid on the bed for awhile waiting for the tummy to settle. Finally got up and donned swimsuit. It was cold and overcast, but I've put it off long enough. I needed to get out into the lake and swim.

So I went. I got in, it was 60 degrees and the water was cold. I was scared. I was starting to get upset which is an indication that I'm about to blow my fear completely out of proportion, so I made myself just go in. Literally within two strokes I felt FINE! I wanted to swim an hour, but since I'd spent half an hour laying on the bed groaning, I could only do 35 minutes total swim time. I figure I probably swam about 3/4 mile. IT was good. Roy was there too with his noodles, walking back and forth in case I needed noodling. What a guy. I mean how many other wives have husbands who hate to swim, hate the water, but will go into the water with them just in case something happens? Not many! I'm so lucky!

Plan a bike ride for later today and probably abs. I also got an exercise I have to do from the chiropractor. That won't burn many calories, but at least I feel like I'm helping to heal my back.
